First wet dog food my Whippet eats!

My dog had to go on this because of bowel inflammation. I was sad because she has only eaten other brands as long as I added roast chicken, and the vet said I couldn’t anymore. However, she wolfed it down and licked her bowl clean. So thankful!

Would not reorder

Bought 12 cans of this as wanted to find a cheaper alternative than buying directly from vets. All the cans were dented and the dark brown thick gloop inside the can in no way resembled the same product bought at the vets, where you could identify ingredients and most importantly my dog would not eat it!

Variation in consistency

Our dog has to be on this as is on a low fat diet and is the only food that doesn’t trigger her pancreatitis. Does anyone else find a huge variation in consistent between batches? Some tins are like soft pate and others much drier and firmer. We struggle to get her to eat it when it is a drier batch. It is an expensive food so would expect quality control to be much better. Having said this it does keep her pancreatitis at bay saving on Vets fees

Changed recipe

This food used to be produced in the US but I believe it’s now coming from Europe. The composition of the food has changed completely. It’s now the consistency of butter icing and is very hard to get out of the can. I now have to use two spoons and the food sticks to the sides of the can. The can seems to have changed too and is very sharp once the pull off lid is removed. I seriously cut my finger on a can yesterday. Fortunately my dog still loves the food and it works well.

Why always these changes?!

My 13-year-old Border Collie absolutely loved the Hills i/d low fat wet food and tolerated it perfectly. Unfortunately, due to the COVID pandemic, this food was unavailable for a long time. After a two-year odyssey with other products and two more severe bouts of pancreatitis for my dog, we’ve finally returned to Timmy’s favourite food… But sadly, the manufacturer has changed the wet food. ActivBiome etc.!!! The result: the food is being refused… :(

Gorgeous 😍

My furbaby wouldn't eat dog food at all. Until she went ill and we nearly lost her. Due to Immune and digestive system 😪 reluctant to eat purina digestive care. Then diagnosed with pancreatitis my vet suggested Hills prescription diet id low fat chicken stew ➕ Dry food. Never seen her eat and enjoy every scrap of food. ( nothing left. Don't even need to wash the dishes) Is expensive but discount helps. Anything to keep my furbaby with us.

The dog is clearly feeling better.

We've been struggling with pancreatitis for over a year now. At first, I cooked for my dog, but I couldn't achieve any improvement. I have to admit, I personally don't like the composition of this food at all. Initially, my dog had terrible bad breath from the food, but that only lasted about a week. Since then, he's been doing significantly better, and he absolutely loves the food. Adding a bit of water improves the consistency as well. He gets a 400g tin per day for his 20kg weight (neutered).

This food is a life saver!

My mini dachshund Beryl who suffered terribly with pancreatitis and a small intestine problem has been fit and well for 3 years now thanks to this wonderful food. Zooplus provide a great service in supplying us with it.

Complete satisfaction

My beagle suffered from mild pancreatic insufficiency, which caused diarrhoea as well as weight loss and generally insufficient digestion. Thanks to switching to this food (in combination with the corresponding Hill's dry food), all symptoms disappeared within a very short time and his levels have significantly improved. I’m absolutely thrilled!

Highly recommended!

Our dog suffers from chronic pancreatitis. This food was recommended to us by our vet because she absolutely needs a low-fat diet. It’s the first food that has worked brilliantly for her in the long term. Awful stomach pains are a thing of the past! She gets half her daily ration as wet food and the other half as dry food (also given as treats). Nothing else. Since then, she’s been back to her old, healthy self!

Hills digestive low fat wet food

Excellent

This is the best meat for my terrier, she loves it and the biscuits as well . She has been having trouble with being sick sometimes not eating at all. The vets diagnosed sludge in her gall bladder put her on meds and digestive low fat meat. Brilliant.

My dog loved it & it's good for her!

I use this to make my dog's special kibble more interesting, so it doesn't work out too expensive. She loves it so much any medication hidden in it is eaten too.

Low fat with pork?

My dog couldn't tolerate it at all, and I don't understand what pork is doing in dog food (especially for gastrointestinal issues). The ingredient list is kept microscopically small. Not satisfied.

Excellent Product for my dog

Two years ago our black Labrador was diagnosed with pancreatitis, We had to change him to a very low fat diet and he has been stabilised on the Hills I/d low fat dry food since then. He keeps well, no more sickness, or pain as far as we can tell, and our vet is very pleased with him. He is 9, enjoys long walks and swims off the lead and is still his gorgeous softie self. Long may he continue. I can recommend this product for this condition.
