Product description

Battery-operated claw grinder for dogs, with 4 grinding heads & 2 speed settings for each of the 2 rotation directions for both left- & right-handed owners. It has an ergonomic shape & is easy to use.
The battery-operated MOSER® Cordless Claw Grinder is a great, stress-free way to keep your dog’s claws under control and in shape.
The practical slide switch allows you to easily choose between the four powerful speed settings. There are also four different grinding heads in different sizes to care for individual filing and polishing needs, as well as to look after thick and hard claws quickly and with little effort. The MOSER® Cordless Claw Grinder helps minimise the risk of the claws breaking or tearing, as well as reducing splitting. The two different rotation directions make it ideal for use by both left- and right-handed pet owners.
The ergonomic shape of the MOSER® Cordless Claw Grinder means it sits comfortably in your hand as its easy to use. Even at the highest speed setting, it is particularly quiet, making claw grinding a more pleasant experience for your pet.
The MOSER® Cordless Claw Grinder is ideal for shortening the claws of cats, small pets and birds as well as dogs. There is very little danger of damaging living parts of the nail with this device. There is also a mini spotlight to make it even easy to see what you are doing.
The MOSER® Cordless Claw Grinder is battery-operated without the need for a cable, allowing you to use the device wherever and whenever you please.

Why should you regularly trim your dog’s claws?
Trimming your dog’s claws is very important for your dog’s wellbeing. Claws continue to grow throughout your dog’s life – although they naturally shorten through running and walking, in many dogs they grow faster than this can occur. If your dog’s claws are too long, it can result in the paws tilting out when walking, which can in turn lead to more permanent postural damage and muscle tension. To avoid this, it is important that you regularly and correctly shape and trim the claws.

Good for thin claws

The claw grinder is unfortunately not ideally suited for thick claws, like those of my Hovawart. It takes forever to shorten the claws to the desired length. Luckily, my dog has a lot of patience… Consequently, the grinding heads also wear out relatively quickly. On the positive side, the claw grinder is very quiet. I wouldn’t buy it again for a large dog. However, for a small dog with thinner claws, I would still recommend it.

Best Investment

I thought long and hard about whether to use claw scissors or this, until I came to the conclusion: no, cutting is too risky for you, so you buy this instead. With this, you can't cut them. It arrived yesterday, and I tried it straight away—what can I say? It works wonderfully! My little fluffball lets me use it without any fuss, and it worked perfectly. The smaller fluffball also had to give it a go for testing, and he had no problem with it either. Honestly, the best investment I've made—highly recommended!

Not suitable for thick, strong claws

It may well be a good tool for trimming claws. It’s certainly usable for small dogs. However, for my German Shepherd Husky mix with thick, strong claws, it’s unfortunately not suitable. It takes an eternity for anything to happen to the claw, so the animal’s patience soon runs out. I really expected more from it... Such a shame!

Dog

Got bulldogs this stops as soon as you touch the claw. Spent at least 10 minutes on 1 paw the tips are just sandpaper wont last a couple of trims. Dont waste your money on this .

Very good, the perfect complement to the nail clipper.

My little one has black and white claws; with the white ones, you can easily see how far you can trim them. I was always unsure about the black ones. The solution with this file is brilliant. Quick and safe. Highly recommended.

Very good product!

I am pleasantly surprised by the product. It runs quietly, has 2 or 4 "gears" and even a light, is handy, and the best part: our dog (Standard Poodle) was already lying completely relaxed on his side during the first use... of course, it takes a bit of time, but we will continue at our own pace. Instead of the supplied batteries, we are using rechargeable ones. I can't yet say how quickly the paper will wear down. It would be great if zooplus could offer these replacement heads.

Stress-free claw trimming

Even our vet didn’t dare tackle the claws of our standard poodle. The poor dog was already suffering from his long claws. Despite the conflicting reviews, I took the risk and made the purchase – and I’m thrilled. Of course, the device stops if you press too hard, but I assume this is to protect the dog, as it starts working perfectly again as soon as you ease off the pressure. I’m very satisfied.

Top-notch product!

Our Labrador mix has a tough past and is especially nervous about his paws. Even thick claws can be easily shortened with the nail grinder. It's best to just hold the nail grinder gently against the claw without pressing. For us, there's no better alternative!

Very good

Initially, I used the large grinding head for my Pekingese. It went a bit too fast. The smaller one works better. Worked perfectly!

Excellent alternative to clipping

I'm so impressed with this product, my dogs absolutely despise having their claws cut. What makes it even harder for me is that they both have black coats and claws, so I can never tell how close to the quick I am. When I gave this a go, the girls were a bit confused and wary because they recognised the usual pick up and arm hold stance that sets them on edge, but after the first few mins they settled down and sat still whilst I was doing it. Excellent product, highly reccomend

Very quiet, weak performance

Unfortunately, this claw grinder isn’t strong enough for the claws of my old lady – she does have exceptionally large and sturdy claws. I manage much better with the Dremel. That said, this grinder is really very quiet and probably quite useful for smaller claws.

Absolutely brilliant

I can't understand the negative reviews. I have a male dog weighing 22kg and a female dog weighing 28kg. Accordingly, their claws are large/thick. With a bit of pressure, they can be perfectly filed down. The noise from the claw grinder is super quiet and doesn't bother the dogs at all. The only thing that bothers them a little is the vibration, but you can't turn that off. They'll just have to deal with it ;D It's definitely better than using clippers.

Far too weak.

I use it for my Chihuahua, and this grinder is definitely too weak. Even with new batteries, no improvement. A bad purchase.

Claw grinder for small dogs and cats

I ordered this claw grinder because it had such good reviews. It arrived the day before yesterday, and I thought, what kind of toy is this? Such a shame, it's way too small. It's suitable for small dogs and cats, but absolutely not for large dogs (Labrador Retriever). Now we have to go to the vet after all to get the claws trimmed. Such a pity, but my dog can't wait that long—he's far too scared. And with the Moser, it takes several minutes, almost an hour. What a shame...

So glad I bought this :-)

Brilliant little grinder. One of my Shih Tzus started getting upset when trying to clip her claws. Her claws grow rapid and curl. The nurse at vets starting doing them for me, and she kicked up so much fuss but they got cut. Anyway I found this grinder and gave it a try, just doing a little at a time and she is now used to it and lets me do it whilst she lies on my husbands lap. It has been such a relief to do the job and her not be so stressed. I definitely recommend this

Works flawlessly

We have a terrier mix female dog. Her claws grow very quickly, and I searched for a long time for a good way to trim them. Since they are very dark, I don’t feel confident using claw clippers. So, I used to file her claws by hand, which is very time-consuming. With this device, it’s done in no time. It’s quiet, and thanks to the adjustable rotation direction, you can choose the most comfortable position for both of you. I would buy this device again. 👍🏻

More suitable for smaller dogs or softer claws

I have a Hovawart female dog with black claws. Since visiting the vet is always extremely stressful for her, and I don’t dare to trim the black claws myself, I ordered the claw grinder. It might work as intended for smaller claws. However, with my dog, I actually spent over 5 minutes on one claw just to get a little bit off. You can’t hold it on continuously as it gets hot and uncomfortable for the dog. So, for us, it doesn’t make sense.

Super!

Great device, even for large dogs! You just shouldn't press too hard—simply hold the grinding head against the claw and let it do its job.

Nelly loves it!

My little Beagle is always romping through the undergrowth and sometimes tears her claws. She's very sensitive and ticklish on her paws. The claw grinder works brilliantly, and Nelly stays completely calm while using it!
