The West Highland Terrier is a happy and lively little fellow. You can give him pleasure with ball games, agility dog sports as well as intelligence games. The often stubborn nature of the Terrier requires consistent but loving training. Although the coat is short, its care requires special attention. The coat should be trimmed regularly and clipped in summer. Dental care is of vital importance for this small breed. It is done by daily brushing of the teeth and an adapted diet to prevent tartar formation.
