Amazing

Runny stool samples for months returned nil results so the vets suggested colitis and recommended trying this for our two cats who were only approaching 1 year old. Poor little things. Immediate results. Perfect poops, and all round happier pusscats for some 5 months now. We are thrilled and will not look back.

Life saving producy

I’m happy and relieved I’ve found this product. My cat has been suffering from chronic IBS, bloody stools and diarrhoea for around 3 years. We’ve tried everything, including multiple tests and scans. 2 weeks on this and the blood has finally stopped and her poo looks normal. She’s also much happier in herself. I’m so grateful She prefers the zd dry food to the wet

The food does what it's supposed to.

My tomcat, who was also prescribed it, eats it, but the cat doesn’t seem to really like it. So, it doesn’t seem to be a hit with all cats, I’m afraid. My tomcat has been having it for years and tolerates it well.

Well received, but no visible improvement.

The product was very well received, even though my Bengal is very picky. However, his allergy hasn’t really improved even after using it for several weeks. Unfortunately, I’ll now have to try other products.

Not great

The target audience for this product was not interested, although a couple of the other cats in the household ate some from time to time - in a household of 7 cats I would have expected a better result but the bowl always had a lot left in it. It was far from being a hit so I couldn't justify buying it again.

Excellent Results & Highly Recommended!

A locum vet recommended this food several years ago for one of my British Shorthair brothers, who was having ongoing problems with his digestive system. Now the whole cat family eat it every day, with excellent results and no more problems. It is a very popular food with all 4 cats.

Has been happily devoured for years.

Thought my two (Bengal + Forest Cat mix) might fancy a bit of variety – but no, they’re sticking with Hills z/d.

Really good

I’ve had a good experience with this food, as my cat is allergic to many things and had scratched herself raw. This is the only food she tolerates really well and eats without any fuss.

Perfect for our cats tummy.

Our cat had crystals in her urine which were operated o successfully. Unfortunately she had ongoing tummy problems and despite different prescription diets from Royal Canin and Hills, nothing changed. Then the vet checked the ingredients of the Royal Canin and Hills foods and discovered they both contained crustaceans, so she suggested changing to this food and the improvement was fantastic. She has gone nearly 18 months with no tummy problems. She has now be diagnosed with IBS.

Z/d cat food

I have been ordering Z/d for my persian cat as was recommended by our vet 3 years ago.. I am not sure what has changed but when my new order arrived few weeks ago my cat is constantly having diarrhea and vomiting.. After several expensive trips to the vet .. I have had to start making his food myself.. someone tell me what is going on ?

My cat loves it!

Our cat kept having diarrhoea when eating popular cat food found in commerce. Then, the vet suggested to switch food for the 3rd time and to try the z/d type for food sensitivities and it resolved the issue. Our cat has been eating only Hill's Prescription food since for the past couple of years already and he had without problems

Not good for cats with allergies - ingredients should specify protein type

Bought this product thinking was the best for my cat who suffers with IBD and loved it. At begining noticed stools more soft but still formed...after 2 months started having episodes of diarrhea...within 3 months diarreha was constant. Thought was due to changes on his environment so kept giving it along with medication for 5 months then check label: meat and animal derivatives?? Which meat? Changed to a non-meat food and diarrhea gone in 1week!! Not giving Z/D anymore & keep away from chicken!!

New Formula

The pack received in 08/22 and opened two weeks ago contains a new formula (shape, colour). While the taste seems to be better, the cats won’t touch the bowl with the leftovers from the old pack anymore. Since my cat with IBD started eating the new food, he’s been having really severe diarrhoea again, to the point where he can’t even make it to the litter box (we had the diarrhoea completely under control with the previous Hill’s z/d). For us, this is a disaster... I’m super disappointed.

Super happy for years

For years, the cat (15 years old) has been eating this dry food along with another wet food. She loves both (she won’t touch other wet food at all). She hardly ever vomits anymore, and her coat couldn’t be silkier. New recipe? Neither I nor the cat have noticed any difference. The packaging says “New look, same nutrition and taste.”

Good for years

By now, my tomcat eats this food (exclusively), maybe occasionally a mouse on the side... Due to a food allergy, he had licked and scratched himself bloody. It's been at least 7 years now, his red fur is in top condition, and the cat is healthy with only this dry food.
