Product description

Dietetic dry food for adult cats with chronic renal insufficiency. This dry food has a low phosphorus and protein content. It makes urine more alkaline and helps to reduce formation of bladder stones.

Concept for Life Veterinary Diet Renal at a glance:
  • Dietetic complete dry food tailored to your cat's specific nutritional needs
  • Scientifically-based nutrition which supports veterinary therapy
  • Top-quality raw ingredients ensure it is well-accepted, and very digestible
  • Made in Germany
Concept for Life Veterinary Diet Renal is a premium complete dry food for adult cats with kidney issues. When renal function is impaired it compromises the kidney's abilities to perform efficiently. Toxins and protein wastes are not eliminated properly, and the kidneys become overloaded. If your cat is suffering from kidney disease it needs a diet that helps to relieve and support the kidneys. Insufficient or low fluid intake combined with an acidic urinary environment can lead to the formation of bladder stones such as calcium oxalate or uric acid stones. The appropriate mineral content and urinary pH values can help to reduce the risk of bladder stones.

How can Concept for Life Veterinary Diet Renal help your cat?
This premium therapeutic dry food has been specifically developed for cats with renal problems and is optimally adapted to suit their nutritional needs. It has a low protein content and is made using only top-quality protein which produces fewer toxins and waste products such as urea. It is also low in phosphorus which helps to reduce the work the kidneys must do. Cats with renal issues are often unable to eliminate excess phosphorus and this can overload the kidneys. A balanced ratio of minerals helps to counteract over-acidic urine. Cats with kidney disease often suffer from loss of appetite. Concept for Life Veterinary Diet Renal is well accepted.

Concept for Life Veterinary Diet – tailored therapeutic nutrition for your cat.

Contraindications:
Not suitable for pregnant or lactating cats, kittens, cats with hepatic insufficiency associated with impaired bile secretion, and cats with struvite stones.

General information:
  • Please seek your vet's advice before using this food or extending the feeding period.
  • When feeding your cat with a veterinary diet you should consult your vet regularly for check-ups.
  • If your cat's health deteriorates please seek veterinary advice immediately.

Fussy cat approved

My old boy (16) is on a renal diet much to his disgust. I've tried him on most of the dry biscuits and this one he will often choose over wet food.

Nobody Likes It!

I have 8 cats and unfortunately they are all extremely unimpressed with this renal dry biscuit. Having 8 your always normally assured that someone will like it but not on this occasion. We will have to suck it up and go back to the other much more expensive brand.

the little ones love it

with renal foods the problem is the taste, in this case the kibble has been successful with my two little cats, better than with other brands

excellent product

my cat has always eaten renal from another well-known brand. I tried it because the price is good and the composition is very similar. The cat eats it willingly!

Still unsure......

I've not long started this food after my cat went into AKF days after an operation, she has CKD and was told she will have to stay on a kidney food the rest of her life (she's only coming up on 7yrs old) but I have 4 cats....1 being her sister, I tried royal canin and a purina renal foods but asked if they could all get renal food even the boys who are younger as it was pricey buying different foods for them all.and was told it was okay......they all love this one but why no more reviews?!

great product, my big cat appreciates it and I would like to reorder it but the package seems huge for me given that I have only one cat, if there was a smaller package it would be ideal

Very good and grain free

I am so glad that I gave this product a go. It has a great recipe, and best of all it's grain free. My cat hasn't had any issues with the transition, which is just phenomenal.

INCREDIBLE NEW RECIPE

I HAVE PURCHASED DIFFERENT VARIETIES OF RENAL AND I AM TRYING TO BUY NEW ONES ABROAD. THIS IS THE LASTEST PURCHASED. MY MINOUCHE ONLY EATS ONE OF THE 5 THAT I PROVIDE (HILL S, ROYAL CANIN ...). GO FOR IT! THE NEIGHBORHOOD CATS ARE ALWAYS GOING FOR THIS, BIG SUCCESS

Recommended

My cat has kidney issues and she took to this food straight away. She eats more of it than she does with other foods, you can tell it has stimulated her appetite. Which is great in our case because she has lost a lost of weight. It's definitely worth trying.

Satisfied

Just received the product. I've already given my cats a portion and they ate it up. Great product.

Very satisfied

The kibble is palatable, and the cat has recovered a nice soft coat since eating it. The only thing I would change is the size of the kibble because older cats are prone to kidney problems and more delicate and fragile teeth, some even being totally toothless. The pieces are large. For the rest I am very happy, my cat is in good health and eats her food willingly.

Accepted straight away

After using the same kibble recommended by the vet for two years, my cat has lost his appetite. We then switched to wet food and tried other types of dry, but without any success. Then I tried these, and my munchkin devoured them. He also regained his form. The pieces have a triangular shape. And they are tasty. Also recommended for difficult palates!
