Product description

Interactive cat toy Trixie LED Pointer, will keep your cat busy for hours, with fish-shaped light pointer.

Keep your cat busy for hours with this laser pointer! The Trixie LED Pointer sends out a ray of light in the shape of a fish. Get the fish swimming between rooms, over floors and furniture, up walls and back down again - your cat will be in its element chasing the fish about!

All attributes at a glance:

  • LED with fish print
  • Harmless for eyes
  • Light lasts approx 100 hours
  • 3 x Batteries included: Type LR927
  • Length: approx 5 cm

Note for correct use of the Trixie LED Pointer Catch the Light:
Playing for long periods of time with an intangible toy does not make for long-lasting fun. To avoid any frustration, the Trixie LED Pointer Catch the Light should not be left running for such long periods of time. Treats or an extra, physical toy (e.g. a dangler pole toy, ball or mouse toy) should be provided now and then. This will increase your kitty's chance of success and ensure a more enjoyable experience chasing after the little fish.

Please Note:
As with any other product your pet should be supervised with this toy. Please check the product regularly for any damage, and replace the toy whenever it becomes defective or when a piece of the toy goes missing to avoid any harm coming to your pet.

Terrible
Glad I used some points to buy rather than spending money. Fell apart almost immediately and so dim it makes a turnip look smart

Rubiish don't bother
This is terrible, very dim, only works in the dark and if you point it at something no more than 50cm away.

Her favourite toy
She doesn’t do wand toys or most others. Sometimes plays on her own with small mouse but so glad I found this long ago as it’s continued to be a favourite and has her chasing around the flat, turning the rugs upside down and getting this house cat her exercise and fun!

A favourite toy!
I got this LED pointer with my Zoopoints, and it was such a great find! My cat has never been too fussed about laser pointers, but she absolutely loves this toy. She wants to play with it constantly, and chases the little blue fish with complete abandon, until she's knackered. Note that it's an LED light, hence why the beam spreads out and fades quickly in the distance - this is much safer than a laser, you don't risk blinding your cat! I use it in the evening, when my cat is also more active.

Glad it was free
Like many other people, I got this for free from the reward shop. But honestly, this is the worst LED pointer I have ever seen - the LED is too weak to project further than 1.5m away, and even before that the fish is just blurry and hard to see. Get one that looks less fancy but actually does the job.

At least it was free
This is fine if you want to just point it at your feet - but if I wanted to play close quarters, I'd just use a wand toy. As soon as it's even a few feet away it's almost non existent.

Probably the worst laser pointer in existence
I don't usually review something that's bad, unless it's really bad. This falls into that category. First, the button is impossible to push, trying hurts your thumb after only about five seconds, and the light flashes constantly as the button tries to decide whether it's truly being pressed. Second, the light is not a proper pointer. It's a projection of a fish. Which means that as soon as you point it more than a couple feet away, it just blurs out into nothing. Just the worst laser pointer.

Waste of points. Glad i didn't spend money on it though
It's okay close up but it's a bit of a weird toy really, your cat is expected to chase a logo basically... It doesn't work if you point it to the other side of the room and i don't think this is meant to be used like a proper laser toy. Just glad I didn't spend money on it

Poor quality
Not great. Had one that broke within days and another that just doesn’t work very well at all.

What even is this
Too weak to use in long distance play even in the dark! Waist of points

Cat loves it
can't speak to the battery life as we've only had it a couple of weeks but the cat is very happy with this. Lots of reviews complaining that as it's not a laser the light gets bigger and less bright if you shine it further away but mine seems to love the variation and the way you can make the fish 'flop' around by turning the pointer.

Poor Projection
This laser is not your normal single dot laser pen. It projects the entire fish, the further away you point the bigger and worse the light. My kittens lose sight of the light as soon as it begins to get bigger which isn't much than a couple of feet.

Broke after 1 day
My cat doesn't care about laser pointers but my 7-year-old human child loves them. I got this for him with some extra points and he loved it for about a day until it stopped working consistently. He insisted it worked if you banged it against something, so now he's been banging on my furniture trying to get it to work. I ended up having to bin it. Such a shame. Was a cool toy otherwise and a lot of fun.

Fades quickly
My cat loved the fish image, big and small. However the batteries faded after only a few relatively short play sessions. I’ll now have to buy more batteries much sooner than I expected ☹️.

No idea why the bad reviews…
My cat loves it. Sure it’s not the brightest of lasers, but my cat goes mental for it! Look for my video I will post if possible of him having a good time with it!

Not good at all
Very disappointed, the light is only any good if you shine it near you but the fish image fades at a distance and the cats lose interest, so glad I used points rather than paying for it.

Waste of money
My cat refuses to play with it and you need to hold it close to the surface you want it to show it on
