Usage information:

The worst litter I ever bought

Excellent dust free litter

The litter tray is virtually dust free. The sweet smell didn't put my cats off (they are picky) & it does an amazing job at masking the smells of urine and number 2s. It tracks far less than most. Be aware one of my cats wanted to eat it initially but that stopped after a day or so. To avoid getting wet clumps stuck to the scoop encourage free litter to stick to the outer edges of the clump by scooping around and under it. It can be sticky if you put your scoop in the centre of a wet clump!

Best litter, pricey but worth it

Bought to try after a friend starting using and honestly the best litter ever, lasts for such a long time, really good clumping so very easy to clean after cat has used. Smells sort of sickly sweet when first opening but never gets stinky after my indoor cat uses, odour control is fantastic, pricey but honestly the best I have used and worth it in the long run as lasts such a long time compared to cheaper litters I have used.

Great

Expensive, but environmentally friendlier than some other brands and lasts a long time when you keep on top of removing excrements daily and topping up the amount of litter. I have big cats so keep a thick layer. Not dusty at all and keeps the smell down along with a good diet

Tracks everywhere, so much scooping!

I previously used wood pellet litter which needed the whole tray changing and cleaning twice a week. Scoop planet needs twice daily scooping out all the lumps... and then what to do with the lumps? Not down the toilet apparently, or in the food recycle because of the poo. What's the point of it being biodegradable if you can't dispose of it in compost ? Also, the damp litter sticks to my cats' paws and solidifies inside their paw pads. Tracking all over the house and creating incredible mess!!!

Great smelling litter

I was using wood pellets which turned to dust when they got wet, and I found there was a lingering smell of cat urine until the whole tray was replaced. This litter smells incredible - it's quite a strong sweet smell, but it definitely doesn't smell like a cat toilet! It clumps well - although if you don't scoop frequently it can get a bit cementlike, I haven't found it unusably sticky even using a plastic scoop. It's also very low tracking and a litter mat catches any stray bits.

My favourite litter

Very impressed with this litter. Being a cat sitter and having two cats of my own I have tried many products! They all have their problems. It is expensive, but worth it. Hardly tracks at all and easy to clean tray. Cats are happy🐱

It's very good .. But

.... so much is used and you get through it quick which makes it expensive. I guess that is all part of the design. Having certain pets is getting very expensive and people are making huge profit!

Best Litter Ever

Absorbent, natural coconut smell so covers the yucky smells whilst not being too strong for our cats. Easy to clean and great value for money. Recommend every time!

Why do people say this is sticky?

I cannot understand why so many reviewers say this litter sticks to the tray and the scoop! It just does not. Put a deep covering of litter in the tray and wait at least ten minutes before removing wet clumps and they hold together and come out easily. My litter scoop has never stayed so clean! Add to this the low tracking, excellent odour elimination and no dust and you have a brilliant cat litter. It is soft on paws, great to use in a covered litter box and really does last a long time.

Disappointing performance

I had high hopes for this litter based on reviews. I hoped it would be biodegradable and therefore more eco-friendly. However I will not repurchase. I intensely dislike the sickly-sweet odour of it and the extreme stickiness of the clumps, which stick to both scoop and cat-tray like glue. In its favour, there is little tracking, and solids can be removed from the tray easily, but the stickiness of the clumps make cleaning the tray and scoop very unpleasant.

Test results

Having tried a different brand (reviewed same date) I have decided to stay with this brand until I try another. 5stars is my goal. I would say this brand so far is the best for my cat.

Overpriced for change in product

I have been buying this for around a year. The last 3 months the product has not performed as it used to. Disappointing so I have selected other brand to try out. 🤞for new brand which is a lot cheaper.

Pricey but works.

This is pricey. However you waste very little as can scoop up the actual waste as clumps instead of having to refill and having so much waste. Kerosene the smell down too. Potentially is cost effective too.

Economical

We recently moved to using KatKin food for Sylvester and noticed a huge positive change in his health and attitude so decided to give KatKin’s litter a try. At first we thought the price was high but gave it a go, we have actually found it to be more economical than the previous litter, one bag lasts Sylvester just over a month only removing what has clumped or is soiled. The vanilla aroma is pleasant for us and Sylvester. We (including Sylvester)would definitely recommend KatKin.

Excellent litter but pricy

I prefer this to the wood and paper pellets I used to mix up. because a) my cat seems to prefer it b) minimal if any tracking c) takes less space d) easy to clean up. I get around the wee'd on litter sticking like cement to the base of the litter tray by lining the tray with recycled newspaper. Unfortunately my senior cat drinks and wees loads and has 2 litter boxes so we get through much more than the recommended 1 pack a month. Dropping a star because it's expensive by comparison.

Positives - low tracking, good clumping, pretty easy to clean, the cats’ favourite Negatives - strong vanilla odour, sticks like glue to scrapers!

Mixer for self cleaning litter boxes

I have a multi cat household and two electric self cleaning litter boxes. I have tried all litters and have finally found a combination that works. Golden grey is fantastic but too heavy for the boxes. Mix this in with at least 50 percentage golden grey and it’s perfect. I have tried other mixes and other tofus but this is the best combination for us.

Changed my life

I've tried every cat litter and settled on wood pellets because they worked out cheapest for the amount of times I changed them. But the cat area and thus house still smelled of urine pretty often. When I started using this my kid was like 'why does the cats' room smell of.... CAKES?' It kind of does smell of cakes. Scooping is a breeze, the little cat jobbies kind of roll to the top, nothing feels affected by anything, the caking is really good. Lasts really well.
