It is covered with beautiful upholstery fabric and fits into trend-conscious interiors like a normal piece of furniture - except that someone might hide in the stool from time to time.

Lasted 8 years before giving up the ghost

Fits in really well looking like a normal pouffe with the added benefit of a void safety space for fluffys. Three different cats have loved this to pieces and the humans found that it wasn't strong enough for repeating standing on (their silly fault over 7/8 years of repeated standing on), sitting on as an occasional stool when someone visits absolutely strong enough. Very happy that we could get a like for like match and it's very easy to clean both inside and out with hoover and steamer.

Not the best

The actual stool/den part of the item is decent however my experience of it Is that the feet are extremely cheaply made, the wood is too soft for the brass inserts inside them to screw onto the base and within one day of having it up and in use 3 legs tore off the base the brass stayed attached to the screws in the base but the legs just tore straight off them, I had to use no more nails to try and repair it but even that didn't work and in the end I just put the hide on the floor without legs

Impatient cat

My cat couldn’t wait to get into while I was assembling. Looks great a my main room. It goods well with decor. Legs took extra time to get into correct position. Cat likes doors on her houses. Will add flap style for this one. I’m going to paint the legs also. Both are very happy with it and would recommend highly.

Instant love

My cat instantly took to new Den. Well made. Very nice material. Better instruction on leg fitting would help. Once achieved den very sturdy. Best one so far. My only thing is legs will need to be painted, my choice. Would highly recommend.

Great little house, maybe not for snorers

Really good build quality, looks good and my cat took to it quickly. Definitely recommend Word of caution though, if you have a snorer and intend to keep the house in your bedroom, the shape works beautifully to amplify the sound :) it's like a happy miniature tractor is idling in the corner

I purchased this product twice. The first time I had an issue with 2 legs, which I mentioned in my previous review, but this was very minor after all, but there was no option to amend a review. Subsequently, I purchased one more item and am very pleased with both of them. The product is well made, good size and very reasonably priced.

Nice, but issues with legs

I just purchased this product and was pleased with the size and the appearance. However, when I screwed-in the legs, they came off while positioning the stool. The plugs/washers just came off from the legs. I need to figure out how to fix the legs before the cats can use it.

Good quality

My Maine coon kitten loves his look out at the top of the stairs. I had a similar version from another online pet supplier but this one is larger & with a cushion inside so it feels more comfortable.

Good idea, shame about the legs

The legs on this product - on two separate orders - are weak. No-one sat on them, for context, but the bolts/washers are not well affixed to the leg column, so screwing them in was a faff and the glue on the leg bolts failed quickly on two legs for the first one. I didn't bother using the legs on the second at all - these now sit directly on the floor instead, which if this design just didn't bother with legs in the first place, is a better way to display them. The cats don't really use them...

Cute little den

Love this little stool/den that I bought for Micks. Initially I put the inner cushion on top and he went to lay on that. I temporarily put a blanket inside to get his smell in there. Once he’d slept on top, I then put the cushion back inside. He has now happily ventured to sleep inside. He likes to sleep inside my cupboards, so thought he may like this. It’s very sturdy and an adult can sit on it.

A surprise success!

Have four cats who like to find their own hiding spaces. Lately they’ve been getting grumpy with each other. Wanted a cat den that was individual (e.g. not a big cat tree) and was raised off the floor. This was an instant hit and blends in nicely with any room upstairs or downstairs in the house. So much so, I’ve come back to Zooplus to order another 2!

Great stool but toxic smell!

This lovely stool arrived today and goes well with my sofas. I was shocked at the toxic smell coming from the cushion. It stinks! I’ve hand washed it twice but the smell remains. I’ll put it inside of a pillowcase to see if that gets rid of the smell but I fear my cat won’t go near it. I’ll probably have to buy a separate non-smelly cushion cover. Lost 2 stars for the smell and inconvenience!

A massive hit 😻

Excellent size for bigger cats. Very sturdy and easy to put together, Hope and Hudson couldn't move quick enough to try it out, to prevent fights between them of who gets to sleep in the cave I've had to buy a second.

Looks great but smells a little

This stool looks great and doesn't scream "cat" unlike many other dens and scratch posts (which I personally perfer). The kittens use it to climb onto the bed. One negative I have found that it smells really weird. Maybe this is why they don't lie in it. I hope the smell will fade over time and they'll take to it as a nice little den. If all else fails, you can use it as a stool, it seems quite sturdy for a normal-sized person. The inside could also be padded, that would make it even cosier.

Stylish addition to my lounge

Really nice cat den,good quality and easy to assemble,one of my cats has already been in it,other 2 not sure at the moment but I think they will like it.good value for money and well made,highly recommend.

Lily Maine Coon approved

This is much bigger than I imagined, it's very sturdy, solid wood legs with rubber non slip feet. An adult can sit on it and it's fine as an extra dining stool at a kitchen table. Lily is a Maine Coon and she can fit inside happily. She also likes sitting on top. Stylish!
