The idea behind grain-free feed is to become closer to the ancestral diet of dogs, which consisted mainly of animal protein and fat. Therefore, grains, such as wheat, corn and soybeans, are not natural components of a carnivore diet such as the dog and are frequently linked to allergies and digestive problems.
It is highly important to read food labels to understand what ingredients and nutritional values a product contains and see if it is suitable for our pet.
Consult your veterinarian before making changes to your dog's diet, especially if it has specific dietary needs or health issues.
