My dog enjoyed this food. Had no problems with his stomach as with other foods I’ve tried. Would recommend, although did give him a bit of wind. I received this product for free as part of a Home Tester Club product test.

I've been using this for a month now and can see a difference in my dogs weight. Using this food he seems to be fuller for longer and isn't begging for food. Easy to transition from my regular dig food to this. I received this product for free as part of a Home Tester Club product test.

Unfortunately, my dog didn't eat the food. It's supposed to make losing weight easier and help the dog maintain their weight afterwards.

At first, my dog ate this food well, and at that time, she was more active than usual, but after two weeks, she completely refused it. First, she stopped eating the dry food, and then, a week later, she gave up the wet food altogether. From time to time, I tried giving her this food again, but she still won't eat it. She probably didn't like the taste, but I don't know the exact reason.

I assume my dog likes the food, as she pounced on it every time. It has a slightly stickier consistency, but that didn’t bother her. I also fed her the dry food exactly as instructed, and she lost one kilo. However, I expected a bit more – it could have been two kilos. I’ve already checked the price online, and it’s very expensive. I won’t be buying the food; unfortunately, it’s not worth the price to me, as it wasn’t as successful as I had hoped.

My dog Sally also successfully tested the wet food from Hills. She tried it in combination with the matching dry food and lost 600 grams in weight as a result. She’s feeling much better than before. She’s back to being in top shape and full of energy. Unfortunately, it was the same as with the dry food... After 4 weeks, she got fed up with it and only ate it reluctantly... but it was better than the dry food. Nevertheless, the test was a complete success for us because, as recommended by the vet, she lost 600 grams. Thank you so much for letting us take part in the testing!

Juni has lost around 1.5 kg, which I think is already a great result. I believe this food is the right choice for severely overweight dogs. At the beginning, you really need to stick to the guidelines, as we initially struggled with diarrhoea because we transitioned too quickly. However, we won’t continue using this food, as I’ve noticed that Juni’s coat has significantly deteriorated. I think the food simply lacks too many essential ingredients that are very important for dogs. But for necessary weight loss, I find the food very good, as the portions are quite large—larger than before—and the dog definitely feels full. This way, they don’t have to go hungry while losing weight.

My dog enjoyed it, and since then she’s also lost weight, going from 4.5kg down to 4kg.

We have been testing Hill's Prescription Diet Metabolic Dog Food with Chicken, wet food, for 4 weeks now with our 7-year-old Pointer mix, who gained a bit of weight after being neutered. All in all, he really enjoys eating the food, but I have the feeling that he’s been scratching himself more frequently since the switch. We’ve already scheduled an appointment with the vet to clarify whether it’s due to the food. Visibly, he has already lost a bit of weight; his flanks aren’t as round as they were at the beginning. The wet food has an ideal consistency, even for older dogs. Personally, I find the smell a bit unusual, but it doesn’t bother my dog at all. I would recommend Hill's Prescription Diet Metabolic Dog Food with Chicken to anyone, provided it’s been cleared by a vet.

The food tastes incredibly good to our 7-year-old male dog, especially the wet food. He has visibly lost weight and is more energetic. The only thing I don’t like so much is that the food smells strongly like a small animal cage, and the dog also emits this smell.

A good, high-quality food that my dog enjoyed eating. Smell and texture are very pleasant. Price is a bit high, but quality comes at a cost. I would recommend it.

Hills' food has helped my Molly achieve a slimmer figure. She really enjoys eating it. For my taste, however, it’s very fine, almost like liver pâté. Since my dog still has all her teeth, I would prefer it to be a bit coarser. The smell is pleasant.

Amy really enjoys eating this dog food – the bowl is empty in no time. It doesn’t smell unpleasant either. She tolerates it well; at first, she had diarrhoea now and then, but she got used to it. However, I do think she needs to poo quite often, and the piles are quite large. Her coat is as smooth and shiny as ever, but she does have a bit more bad breath. She’s lost 2.5 kilos over the past few months. All in all, we’re happy with the food and will keep using it until it’s finished, then we’ll see how things go.
