The recipe for the original chappie I have been having for years has changed. I contacted Mars and the reply was no not changed. I liked the low fat but you can clearly sed the fat when you open the tin. It has also become very expensive and not easy to obtain. I am looking at Butchers lean and tasty as an alternative. Very dissapointed.

Chappie has changed!!
Chappie has changed. From being a tin with solid cut with a knife product I now have tins full of a product which contains liquid and a mushy product. I also have a dog with a poorly tummy !!
Have contacted Mars who produce Chappie but as yet have no reply!!

Best balanced dog food out
Chappie Original has settled my dog’s digestive intolerances without him needing to give up wet food. It was veterinary recommended & I too recommend it.

Dog won’t eat it
Chappie appears to have changed the original recipe. Just bought 48 cans and my dog won’t touch it. Previously had no problems with him refusing this food. The new cans are different in texture and smell. Not happy. Can Chappie producer explain

recipe change or labelling error?
Previously used this to tempt my fussy dog, she loves it. Happy to find full trays of just original, as she hates the chicken and rice one. However, this doesn't appear to be original which is dark, moist and with a strong smell. This is very pale, dry & grainy with almost no smell, just like the chicken and rice one. Either the recipe has changed hugely or there has been a labelling error. Either way I'm stuck with 22 cans of a food my dog won't touch.

It's changed
Our dog benefitted hugely by changing to chappie wet food. But the consistency of the product has changed in the last few months. And it's not helping our dog as it used to. Previously I had a lot of Praise for this product

Game Changer
My dog has never had wet food, always dry or chicken and rice. However having being very poorly we have had to completely change her diet. We was recommended thhis wet food by our vetsand well it's gone down a treat with my 3 YO Cocker! She loves it along with the chappie biscuits. I think great value for money as 1 tine does last her 2 -4 meals depending.

Great food…too expensive now
My dog has a sensitive stomach and my vet advised me to try tins of original Chappie… it was a game changer for my girl… I have given it five stars for the product…but the price increases are one star… it has gone up so much it has become too expensive and I’ve had to swap her on to some alternative dry food… such a shame as delivery with zoo plus is great.. except for the damaged tins…

Chappie Original v’s Hills or Royal Canin Tin Wet Food
I am currently comparing Chappie Original tins with the above two super expensive dog foods.
Comments appreciated

What's happened to chappie !
My 18 yr old rescue collie has been on original chappie for a couple of years as had severe stomach problems nearly passing more than once but now it's changed ! It's no longer dry thick solid and pale in colour but last couple of batches have been soft almost sloppy dark brown goo ! It's given my other rescues bad tummy's too ! Help !

Recommend for joints and fur
Was advised to use Chappie when we took Kal on from the Met police, it has so much fish nutrients in it helps with Kal’s bad joints

Have used Chappie for 40 years
I wouldn't feed anything else; it's wonderful for delicate stomachs and helps to grow a wonderful coat. Fish based food really suits my breed of dog although I do have to be careful they don't pout on weight.

Pancreatitis
I have 2 dog's who suffer with pancreatitis, my locum vet told me to try chappie original tinned and it has been a game changer for them. They love it, due to it being low fat they both lost weight so I just upped the amount per day and they are doing great. Only criticism is the price, every time I put an order in the price is going up. I have looked elsewhere and can get it cheaper and will have to go there as it's becoming to expensive getting it from zooplus which is a shame as delivery and

Great Choice
I was recommended Chappie original by my vet she has used it for years after a lot of research on the subject I decided to follow her advice and haven’t looked back since I have an American Akita she’s now 16 months old and doing great

Always good.
I got some of this to mix in with the dry food when he was a young pup. I have used it on and off for years and it's always been good.

Dented tins
Why are 90% of the tins in each tray dented or slightly buckled in? This has happened with every order and have had about 5 orders over the year now. One tin was green with mould inside so had to chuck out.
