Super food for sensitive dogs
I have Westies, including one female who used to react to everything with severe itching and nibbling. Since I started feeding her DR 21, the itching and occasional ear infections haven’t occurred again. She has healthy skin and snow-white fur. She’s doing incredibly well, and I can only highly recommend this food.

Super food
After being told to use this food by our vet, after our dog was diagnosed with IBD, I must admit I was sceptical about how good it could be after trying many other foods over serveral months to help my dog problem, but it works so well her symptoms ceased in a few days of being on the food and she has been on this food for two years with no further issues or trips to the vets would highly recommend this food to anyone and my dog loves it too which helps.

Everything's perfect.
After half a year of using Hill's Ultra Allergen Free, we switched to Royal Canin because her coat had become flaky and dull.
Now, after feeding her this food for a month, her coat is back to being top-notch. Plus, our dog simply prefers the taste of Royal Canin. Digestion is also absolutely fine.

I have 4 Pulis, they are sensitive in the stomach and intestinal area.
My dogs have repeatedly had issues with digestion. For quite some time now, I’ve been feeding them this food, but I also cook rice every day and add the same amount of chicken fillet to it. My oldest Puli also used to have constant problems with his ears and skin, while the smallest one has severe digestive issues and tends to suffer from diarrhoea. But ever since I started feeding them this food, things have improved significantly. Picasso, who is now 13 years old, hasn’t had any skin or ear problems since then. And with 2-year-old Gucci, the diarrhoea issue hasn’t completely gone away, but it has definitely improved. I’m happy with this food, but I’m still going to try out "Royal Canin Veterinary Diet - Gastro Intestinal GI 25" for a change in flavour. I imagine the dogs would also enjoy a bit of variety in their food, as long as it’s equally well-tolerated. It’s just an experiment—if it doesn’t work out, I’ll stick with the Hypoallergenic DR 21!!!

Super food for sensitive dogs
My Westie, now 13.5 years old, has been eating this food for over 8 years after many struggles and vet visits. Over time, I’ve tried almost all the good food brands, including grain-free food and food without preservatives. Shortly after switching, he would get diarrhoea or vomit from all the other foods. He suffered from stomach aches, inflamed ears and eyes, itchy skin, and greasy fur. I don’t experiment with food anymore. He only gets Hypoallergenic DR21 and, for variety, occasionally homemade meals like rice with chicken or lamb.
Thanks to this diet, he’s really fit for his age, has excellent digestion with firm stools, a beautiful coat, no scratching, and no bloating. The often criticised Royal Canin veterinary food is simply the best for my dog. Now I can order it here and don’t have to make a special trip to the vet. It would be great if Zooplus also offered the 2 kg bags.

Demodex Mites
My 5yr old French Bulldog Lily suffers from Demodex mites to her face due to a low immune system. We have now got this under control but I think the food helps so much. Since we have had her on DR21 she is so much happier in herself. Having a low immune system it is so important that she gets all the nutrients she needs digested quickly into her system and her skin and coat is now in excellent condition. I know this is expensive but it is worth every penny This is the cheapest company I have found and by buying it in bulk it saves so much more money.

Perfect food for dogs with intolerances
My female dog has always been very sensitive when it comes to her gastrointestinal tract. For example, she can't tolerate beef or pork and has even had allergic reactions to homeopathic medicine.
She loves the taste of this food and tolerates it exceptionally well. Since she started eating it regularly, she has hardly had any problems.

Excellent
Following my original review on this food last year, Jenkins is now 3yrs 4mths & still having the same food. I enquired with RC re the pro's and cons of continuing or changing,& recv'd very helpful advice. I also discussed it with our vet at Jenkins' recent annual health check. It is rather a minefield, but eventually I decided to stick with it on the basis of - if it works - why change it!

excellent product.
My dog has been eating this food for 3 weeks now and for the moment no more itches or wounds.
A bit pricey but the result looks to be impeccable.
I'll wait and see what happens over time. I really recommend this kibble for dogs with problems.
thank you zooplus

great stuff
My poor dog has had problems on and off for quite some time now,he even got to the stage where on walks he just wanted to lay down (obviously in pain).I knew he had colitus but did'nt know how to help him,he had injection at the vets which helped for a few weeks, but within a couple of days of giving him the Hypoallergenic food he has improved 100% and I am so pleased,he is a much loved 11 year old cocker spaniel and I hope to have him a lot longer. The only down side for me was that I bought it from the vets which cost me £91 for 14 killo bag,I know where I will be getting it from if he has to be on it indefinately

My dog feels much better
My dog has had dermatitis for years and a few months ago I discovered this food. Since then he has felt much better, and doesn't scratch anymore. The red patches on his skin have also cleared up. I am delighted with this kibble!

tresbon
As I have said before, very good kibble that I have the habit of buying now. The only negative point is that it is dear and I'm never entitled to a small gift like a toy, biscuits or other things that come with other dog food - pity!

palatable and well tolerated product
My dog suffered from from Leonberg atopic dermatitis for almost 8 months. I changed his diet several times to no avail, then tried the vet's recommendation - Hypoallergenic RC.
She usually has little appetite but now eats with pleasure, and it's a relief to no longer fight to make sure she eats something.
It is now two weeks since she started eating this food, and itching has decreased.

silver
my 9 year old rough collie has had bout after bout of collitis. At one point he collapsed BIG TIME I thought I had lost him. For eight years we have spent thousands trying to sought this out. It was a vet nurse who eventually did hit the spot I started him on this DR21 food 8 months ago and have had the best 8 mths with him. Wished I knew about this food before he would never have had the rotten 8 years he had. This food was like a magic wand I would never change him to anything else now It as certainly given Silver some quality to his life and hopefully he will never have to go back to those days of being so unwell he did,nt want to even get up to say nothing about those tablets he hated swallowing. I HAVE NO HESTITATION IN RECOMENTING THIS FOOD

Royal Canin Hypoallergenic DR21
Our 2 year old ESS "Lily" had a history of diahorrea/colitis, and eventually was referred to the Small Animal Hospital attached to Liverpool University in July of last year. Following blood tests, scans etc, they suggested she was intolerant of proteins and wasn't able to break them down. They gave us "Royal Canin Hypoallergenic DR21" and the results have been amazing! It's been 1 year since her diagnosis and she's gone from strength to strength. An added benefit is that it's a low residue diet, she absorbs most of the food, so her "output" is reduced. As long as your vet is happy to agree to your feeding this to your dog, I thoroughly recommend it! And she loves it to!

Excellent product
Our 2 yr old Golden Retriever/Labrador cross - rejected guide dog - Jenkins - came to us at 15 mths.He is now just 2 yrs old. His puppy walker gave us his early history of a serious bowel infection - eventually diagnosed as coccidia & campylobacter. His food was changed three times in order to stabilise his tummy - since when he has remained on this diet, & we have seen no reason to change it in the 10 mths since we've had him. The only treats he has are also hypoallergenic - James Wellbelove Crackerjacks which he loves.

Great food, brilliant price!
My dog is allergic but to what was unknown, this food was recommended by a specialist vets to rule out diet as one of his allergens. This food is apparently proper goodness for dogs (one of the only full hyper allergenic foods) Max loves it! He even has this in his kong as a treat he can't get enough of it. His coat looks healthier too.
Been feeding him this food and only this (no other treats whatsoever) for over eight weeks now, he has gone through three 14kg bags so far (large bread dog, eats more)
Further tests found out Max is actually allergic to dust mites not anything in his diet... Despite this development I am still going to carry on with this brand.
It's expensive food but its way cheaper on here than anywhere else, my pooch is worth it. Delivered straight to my door within days. Brilliant stuff :)
