Royal Canin Hypoallergenic DR 21
I’ve had a very good experience with the dry food, and my dog tolerates the DR21 food very well.

It's good for the dog and tastes excellent to them.
I ordered RC Hypoallergenic on the recommendation of our vet, even though I'm not too keen on the ingredients. But if it finally makes my dog feel better, then he should have it. From one day to the next, we were dealing with bloody, watery diarrhoea, stomach pain, nausea, and vomiting, and were regulars at the vet for six weeks. Since he started eating this food, he's finally doing well again—no diarrhoea, no bloating, and a lovely shiny coat.

Does exactly what we needed it to
Our chocolate lab has a very sensitive stomach suspected to be an intolerance although we've not yet been able to identify to what. We'd tried almost every sensitive food on the market until we found this. The vet had recommended it to us but the price point had been unattainable - this is nearly half the price than everywhere else!
Since she's been eating this food she has been so much happier, has no trouble going to the toilet in the right places!

It doesn't get any better than this.
I can only agree with the previous reviewers... no more diarrhoea, little to no scratching, and it even tastes good :)

Super
Our vet highly recommended this dry food for our severely allergic Yorkshire mix lady... and I have to say, she LOVES it. She’s also crazy about the matching wet food. Although she’s taking anti-allergy tablets, the food really does her good, and you can tell by how she’s doing – no itching, no ear infections anymore, and most importantly, she’s finally sleeping peacefully again. Expensive, but absolutely worth it!!!

Poor Quality
I have been premium quality single protein to my sensitive large BRT. Since it was not available on stock , tried this food. Definitely it is not for my dog. He ears started soaring and she started scratching all time. I then tried on my other dog. Hairs around one of his eyes started loosing and started swelling. Not for sensitive dogs with sensitive skins.

Nothing for rice allergy
Unfortunately, I have to update my review from June. After some time of feeding, my dog's coat got progressively worse... extreme dandruff. My dog has short black fur. He was completely covered in dandruff! It must be due to the rice content. Such a shame, because stool consistency and quantity were excellent.

Seems to be working so far....
This feed seems to be working so far for our dog. She always licking paws due to some kind of allergy. Vet suggested changing food and recommended this. Seems to be working so far!

Excellent!
We have labs - one has a very sensitive stomach, vet thinks IBS likely. Since changing to this food, we now have no issues and perfect health :-)

Hard to believe, but true!!!
Lovely coat... no itching or dandruff. No more bloating. Output is firm and minimal... before, it was always soft stools and frequent, no matter the food. And I’ve tried so many different options. Plus, they really enjoy eating it... which has been quite rare until now. RC was more of a desperate choice, as I’ve already tried so many things (including BARF and home cooking), and nothing seemed to work for them. I don’t care what’s in it! They like it, and it seems to do them good.

Taste
My dog, who usually isn’t picky, doesn’t like the food at all.

Tolerance is fine, but the taste seems bad...
We fed a 7kg bag to our dog. He didn’t have any bloating and his stool was fine, but his coat became very dull and straw-like. After about 5kg, he didn’t really want to eat it anymore. He kept spitting the food back out at our feet...

Perfect!
My 15-year-old Podenco mix unfortunately could no longer tolerate the Wolfsblut dry food she had been eating for years, as her advanced age caused her to develop an intolerance to almost everything. Even the Sensitivity Control dry food caused her constant diarrhoea and vomiting.
Since switching to the Hypoallergenic food, she has been fine from day one. She’s been relaxed and healthy for six months now!
Despite being an allergy-friendly food, it seems to be very tasty, as my dog is quite picky and gets bored quickly, but she still enjoys this food.

very happy
We have Dog de Bordeaux and he is allergic. I am very happy that I find out about this food. It is very good and my dog's skin condition improved a lot! I am buying this food for over a year and will not switch to anything else!!!

Best food for French Bulldog, allergy sufferers
Very positive effect on digestion, no more diarrhoea. His skin and coat have also improved, and the itching has subsided. This food suits him better than Hill's Diet Canine z/d Allergy & Skin Care, which didn’t stop the diarrhoea.
We’re glad to have finally found good, tolerable food for our dog, even though the price is very high.

Bully is fit and healthy again
My French Bulldog suddenly developed an intolerance to pretty much every type of food overnight. It didn’t matter whether he was given dry food or we were feeding him raw. The itchy spots on his paws and neck visibly improved just a few days after switching to this food. His coat is shiny, he no longer vomits, and his digestion/stools couldn’t be better or more regular. After nearly 10 kilos of this food, everything is still perfect. I’ll definitely stick with it and can only recommend it!

Top-notch food
Since we started feeding our dog the Hypoallergenic food, he hasn’t thrown up even once. He loves the food, and you can tell he enjoys it.

German Shepherd with EPI
My 17-month-old German Shepherd (I got him when he was one year old) developed exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, possibly alongside an intolerance or allergy to certain proteins. The dog lost weight, dropping from 33 kg to 27 kg. I’ve now fed him the fourth bag of this food over the course of 3.5 months. The food naturally needs to be mixed with enzymes. Additionally, I use Purina Fortiflora Canine. He has regained his original weight, and as far as you can say with this condition, he’s doing significantly better again. I highly recommend this food, especially for German Shepherds with this illness. At least for the short term. It’s slightly cheaper at Zooplus than at the vet, and the delivery arrived the very next day.

Royal Canin = healthy dog.
We've been giving our Lucy (Rottweiler-Bernese Mountain Dog mix) the Royal Canin food for 3 weeks now (she's already inhaled a 7 kg bag ;-))
I was in hospital for 1 1/2 weeks, and I'm truly amazed at how much her condition has improved. She had a lot of dandruff, some bloody hotspots, her fur could be pulled out in clumps, and so on.
Now, all of that has improved. Hardly any dandruff left, no new bald patches, no clumps of hair that practically fall out on their own, seemingly no more itching, everything is healing again, and her fur on her head and ears, for example (where I often stroke her), has become super fluffy.
And all of this in such a short time. At the beginning, she was also given antibiotics and biotin alongside the food.
The food is very expensive, and we don't have much money to spare. But of course, you'd gladly do this for your pet when you see such amazing results. We're so happy that Lucy is getting better day by day. If she continues to tolerate it so well, she'll be getting this food for the rest of her life.
