High meat quality
I have 5 raw fed dogs and I try to get treats with little to no fillers in them. These go down very well. Really meaty. There is no way I can squash these in my fingers unless I start weight training.
At these prices, there is no excuse for dogs to eat nasty snacks

Happy dogs!
I got these for training as they're low fat, I just cut each mini sausage into 4/5 pieces and kept in a sealable bag.

Not hard at all
I don't know about other people's experiences, but I ordered these in two separate instances and both times they were soft enough to be broken in two by hand. I'd say they are about as soft as chorizo, and not as hard as other dried salamis you can find in supermarkets. My dog absolutely loves them. The only downside is that they are pretty stinky, but I'm not the one who eats them, so that's fine by me.

My dogs Choose these....
Well my dogs say there are the best! I tip all treats into a box and let them choose their own. Without fail two of f them will push other treats to the side to find these. The pig that masquerades as a dog just grabs the first thing she sees. Find some of the reviews odd, as I cut them up with scissors for training treats, and my eight week old kitten manages them easily. He grows more than the dogs at the thought of it being taken from him.

IGNORE THE OTHER RIDICULOUS REVIEWS
Dogs jaws and teeth are made for chewing! A treat does not break their teeth just because they are hard! What breaks their teeth is hardness mixed with something being held tight and ridgid, this is why I tell my customers to NOT hold bones etc for their dogs, dogs need to be able to hold for themselves so they can judge it. Since dogs are related to the wolf and can chew through and consume a whole raw bone entirely these are in fact a doddle for dogs. I do cut them into smaller trainer treats with a serrated knife, like a bread knif, when you saw through them it cuts them fine without much hassle... and I have a broken left wrist so cannot hold something tight! I have worked with dogs for 11 years and train them for a living. These treats are loved by all doggies, low fat, healthy and FINE TO CHEW ON.

Surprisingly good
When I first opened these treats, I thought I would have to come in here to write a very poor review--the treats were so unbelievably hard that I couldn't even cut them with scissors and could only barely hack at it with a large kitchen knife. As my dog is missing a few teeth, I thought it would be beyond her.
To my surprise, though, she absolutely loved them regardless of hardness. She will just about suck on it until it is soft enough to chew. She's an incredibly fussy little Miniature Schnauzer, so I'm very pleased that she loves these.
