The Kong toy is loved by many dogs for its durability and buoyancy, making it a great companion for playtime. However, the nylon rope attached is a common point of criticism, as it tends to fray or break easily, posing potential risks. Despite this, the solid rubber part of the Kong remains a hit for chewers and is appreciated for its sturdiness. Overall, while improvements are needed, many dogs enjoy the fun and excitement it brings.
Durable solid rubber part
Buoyant and floats well
Great for chewers
Nylon rope frays or breaks easily
Potential risk of intestinal blockage from shredded rope

The rope was bitten through after 30 seconds.
Basically good, but the rope was bitten through after 30 seconds.

Not very buoyant
The foam rubber is the only thing keeping the Kong afloat. Unfortunately, it’s not very effective. By the third use, the Kong was already almost sinking, and the dog was ready to dive. Doesn’t convince me as a water toy.

Good Kong, poor cord
The Kong itself is, as usual, well-suited for chewers and floats, but the cheap nylon cord was shredded and frayed by my dog within minutes. Parts of the plastic cord could be swallowed by dogs. Additionally, they are quite sharp-edged. It's a shame that Kong uses such a cord. The cord is also so long that it would drag on the ground when the dog carries the toy, turning it into a trip hazard.

Not very durable
My one-year-old French Bulldog loves playing with the Kong. But now, after just two weeks, it's already history. They're simply too expensive for the durability.

Lasted exactly 10 minutes for us.
The toy itself looked very well-made, but unfortunately, our Golden Retriever managed to chew through the rope within 10 minutes, making it impossible to play with properly anymore.
A different rope should be attached.

Sail broke very quickly
My dog loves balls on a string, and now one for the water too! Really great, but he has the habit of shaking the ball on the string or pulling it out of the water by the rope. Unfortunately, the rope/string was worn out after just three uses. Also, I don’t think such a plastic rope is entirely safe for his snout.

Kong is great, rope is rubbish.
The Kong is of the usual good quality, virtually indestructible, but unfortunately, the same can't be said for the attached rope. Just one walk using it, and the rope was done for. No surprise, as the rope is made of rather hard plastic. If you're thinking, "I'll just thread another rope through the hole," tough luck – you can't, as the inside of the Kong is filled with a soft plastic to make it float in water.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this product!!!

Well...
Admittedly – my dog loves this toy, you can throw it far, it bounces brilliantly, and you can have great tug-of-war games with it. Or maybe not! Because unfortunately, the cord (which, by the way, isn’t particularly comfortable to hold) slips out of the rubber part during play. Both parts remain undamaged but end up separated, meaning the toy no longer serves its purpose. This has now happened to us twice in a very short time. Really disappointing...
