The Kong toy is loved by many dogs for its durability and buoyancy, making it a great companion for playtime. However, the nylon rope attached is a common point of criticism, as it tends to fray or break easily, posing potential risks. Despite this, the solid rubber part of the Kong remains a hit for chewers and is appreciated for its sturdiness. Overall, while improvements are needed, many dogs enjoy the fun and excitement it brings.
Durable solid rubber part
Buoyant and floats well
Great for chewers
Nylon rope frays or breaks easily
Potential risk of intestinal blockage from shredded rope

Lasted for two play sessions
Was very disappointed with this. I've had one Kong for over 20 years which survived several litters of Labradors. This one lasted for 2 play sessions with my Scottie! Found it impossible to contact the company so not impressed at all.

Barely visible
Unfortunately, the Kong is barely visible in the water as it almost sinks. A shame about the money. Not recommended for purchase.

Goes under
The dog chews on the Kong while in the water. Naturally, the foam rubber gets squeezed in the process. Apparently, it does absorb some water after all... The Kong disappeared into the waves. Seems like they tried to turn an existing product into a water toy... poorly.

Disappointing!
I was looking for a durable, water-friendly toy for our large mixed-breed dog (7 months old) and decided to go with KONG. The solid rubber part is absolutely fine and sturdy. However, the nylon cord used is completely unsuitable for dogs. Our dog shredded the cord entirely within half an hour. The quality here definitely needs to be improved.
For this reason, I can only rate this product as poor.

Great Kong, but the rope is dangerous.
Our dog is really thrilled with this thing – it bounces around perfectly, and the dog chases after it.
The dog chews on it, and after a few minutes, there's silence; you can hear a smacking sound – what’s that?!? I go to check – there are long threads hanging out of his mouth, and I pull them out. The 'rope' is atomised, completely shredded. Risk of an intestinal blockage looming...
On top of that, the round end piece of the rope is now rolling around, and the dog happily picks it up... just the right size to swallow :-(

Smells very strongly of chemicals.
Still smells even after putting it in the washing machine twice.

Very disappointed...
Of this Kong. We have all kinds of Kongs for our 5 dogs. The Kong Aqua was already torn after just half an hour. The regular food Kongs last us ages. Absolutely unacceptable for the price – even the Trixie balls for €1.49 are sturdier, though they can’t float.

It doesn't float.
Through this into my local lake 3 times, and on the third it sank and was gone. At £4 a retrieve I don't think it represents good value for money.
