The lead itself is well-made. Unfortunately, I find it unsuitable for larger dogs. The shock absorber can easily be pulled apart with your hands and therefore has no effect on heavier dogs, like my dog (21 kg). It would also have been nice if the loop had been closer to the start of the lead rather than in the middle, just before the shock absorber. This makes it harder to control a larger dog.

The leads, along with the matching harness, are going straight back today after arrival. I had ordered these products to compare them with a competitor's offering available here – partly because we have two dogs and I thought I’d need two leads – but this combination doesn’t work at all, at least not with two young dogs. Maybe it’ll work when they’re calmer and can walk better side by side... For now, we’re opting for the competitor.
