Our cats are Norwegian Forest and as they are a large breed, they needed a bigger box than the average cat carrier. They hate car travel and usually we have a mess to clean up by the time we get to the destination, a small carrier meant the cats were sitting in their mess. These crates allow the cats to move around and away from any mishaps & can be washed. The product description says that you can’t use as a carrier but for short distances they are fine, just hold the frame, not the handles.

Love the sturdiness of this crate. But OMG what a work out to get the poles in the holes to put it up. I really hope it gets easier if the fabric stretches a bit.
