Customers rave about the scratching barrel, noting their cats love it for both play and rest, especially the top section. It's praised for its craftsmanship and value for money, though some find it too small for larger cats and occasionally unstable. Despite minor issues like fabric holes and visible hairs, the barrel is sturdy, with removable, washable cushions. Overall, it's highly recommended for its durability and appeal to cats.

Far too small in size L
The scratching barrel in size L might be suitable for small cats, but it's too small for normal, fully grown domestic shorthair cats.
Additionally, it's not particularly stable.
The craftsmanship, however, is very good.

Cosy overnight stay
My two indoor cats, who are just 1.5 years old, quickly figured out that the top cushion can be removed and carried across the house, even stashed under the basement stairs. It must be incredibly comfortable, as I usually find it anywhere but on the barrel. The outer ring of the cushion tore quite quickly. Unfortunately, there’s no replacement available, which is a shame. When one hole is patched up with fabric, it tears open again somewhere else, and the filling starts spilling out.

Broken surface
The top layer tore very quickly. Such a shame.

Good quality but Pom Pom came off within 3 days of kitten using then
I brought this for my Cat about 18 months ago & it’s been great, he sits on the top and scratches the barrel. Never played in the holes with the Pom Pom’s. We got a kitten a month ago who has played with it for 3 days and 2 of the 3 Pom poms have come off 😫

Unpleasant smell, unfortunately
My two immediately took to them.
But unfortunately, they smell really bad, even after several hours outside.

didn't last long
My two Norwegian Forest cats (13 and 14 years old) managed to seriously damage the scratching barrel in a very short time (despite being outdoor cats). The sisal is of poor quality compared to my other two scratching posts, and the fabric around the holes is already torn.
