Diogenes Scratching Barrel - L

We got this for Christmas for the ferrets. They love it to sleep in, climb on and use as an aerial launch pad. It is pretty stable, avoids fall risks and easy to climb. The only downside we have found is the fluffy lining (black) is very scratchable and if you have a digger, check every day for loose threads. Some like to bat the balls which are robust and well secured. It is spacious and 2 smallish cats should be able to snuggle in the layers.

My cats absolutely love this scratching barrell. It sat for one day before it was totally checked out. It's the perfect cat toy. Bought in November 2024 and still going strong. Well worth the money, and really on a cat's level.

I have had 2 of these for quite a few years now and for the cost they have been value for money. They are both a bit tatty now but have been well used by my cats. I would definitely recommend these 🐈🐈‍⬛🐈🐈‍⬛🐱🐈‍⬛🐱

Cats really like this and all the holes and the top bed are regularly occupied. The middle bed has a hole down to the bottom bed, but as this wasn’t much use, I put a piece of thick card over the hole and sene vet bed on top.

Poor quality, the product didn't even last 5 days before starting falling apart. One of the fluffy balls fell off.. and our cat barely use it!

The cat bed bit is totally loose and just balances on the top. So cat jumps off and bed skids off, cat and bed fall to the floor. There’s Velcro stapled on the tower but no matching Velcro on the bed. So doesn’t attach. Bed is totally unpadded and uncomfortable anyway

My baby boy loved this scratching barrel, especially the bed at the top which you can remove to wash. It came all in one box which I only had to place the bed at the top and that's it. Amazing thing!

Unfortunately our cat need an XL tower rather than L - he technically fits in this and on top, but it's cramped. That's my mis-judgement. The bottom hole opens to the middle area but the platform to sit on is very small, even for a cat a bit smaller than ours. The middle hole doesn't open up to the top one which for more agile cats won't be an issue, but our cat needs a step to reach the top hole - the only one he uses! Otherwise its is sturdy and the scratching sides are better than coil posts.

My kitty gives five stars to Kitty Towers Resort and Spa. Her favourite room is the top floor penthouse which is where she checks in to sleep every night. During the day she often checks into basement and levels two or three for a quick snooze. My kitty liked Kitty Towers straight away and she immediately knew that KT is for scratching. KT is a good quality item and I like the colour of it as it matches our furniture. We love it so much that we have ordered a second one for the spare room.

Great purchase. Well made, looks good, kittens love it. Find them in morning sleeping together on the top. Littlest one took to it the moment we set it down. Very impressed with the quality. Yes one ball has come off but not so surprising - still have two. Definitely can recommend.

It's a really sturdy and good quality item! I was debating whether a cat tree or scratch barrel would be best and I'm glad I went with this. Currently being used my my adult dsh and her five nearly 4 week old kittens, they love it! The black looks really nice, unfortunately the grey went out of stock and I'm not a fan of beige, yet it fits in well with my house. Judging by the quality I think it will last years, so a very good investment!

At first my cat ignored it and wouldn't go anywhere near it. But after a month of it sitting there unused, she suddenly started playing with it, scratching it, and finally sleeping on it all the time! Now she's always perched on top, surveying her domain. Very satisfied!

Of all the many things we have bought our kittens this is the Best Buy! They LOVE it and use it all the time. Great as a scratching post, beds to sleep in alone or together, a tunnel and tower to launch themselves up & down; a place to jump out and ambush each other. As you can see it provides hours of entertainment for ALL of us 😂😂😂 and it is well built and well priced. Will be getting another one for upstairs.

This scratching barrel has massively exceeded my expectations! It's sturdy ,stable, looks good and more importantly my two cats adore it. Had it five months now and even with rough continual use it looks new.

I brought this for my Cat about 18 months ago & it’s been great, he sits on the top and scratches the barrel. Never played in the holes with the Pom Pom’s. We got a kitten a month ago who has played with it for 3 days and 2 of the 3 Pom poms have come off 😫

Only had this for 24 hours but so far both kittens love climbing on and playing in this. One in particular loves the balls at the entrance to the holes, hope they last.. Came home from work this morning and both kitties were napping on top so I think we can safely say it's a hit! Fingers crossed it saves my poor sofa! Also it's not as unattractive as other cat furniture and it fits in my scheme quite well.

My ragdoll kitten loves his scratch barrel and spends loads of time charging at and diving in and out the holes. Hours of fun! Highly recommended!

First played with and most loved toy by both my ragdoll kitten and me. Saves my furniture and he loves it especially when he has a crazy few mins ☺

Tried to get them to use scratching posts, but never interested. Much prefer the carpet or clambering up the side of the armchair... The barrel gives them something they can scratch and climb. They aren't that interested in the lower two 'floors'; but absolutely love the top bit for sleeping on and the top inner 'floor' for jumping into. The balls did not last long (one for just 12 hours). Quality is OK. The main sisal covered bit will last well I think (fur trim and dangling balls, not so much)

Beautiful tub, big enough for my ladies. And it looks nice in the living room.

The product is really, really good, I definitely recommend it, but unfortunately I received it damaged—very disappointed, probably because of the delivery. Better to go to the shop instead!

We now have two of these barrels, but there will probably be a third one soon. We have four cats and they all love them equally. They find the other scratching posts much less interesting and play with them far less.

My cat really likes this. In the summer, it's a lookout spot on the balcony, and in the winter, it's used indoors. The little hideouts are perfect for siestas during hot weather. The soft balls are a nice bonus.

Luckily, it looks stylish because now it's just a part of the decor—my cat hasn't scratched the scratching post even once. It's a shame it goes unused.

Great quality, but my cats don't want to sleep inside, only outside. Great for scratching!

Very nice and comfortable scratching post for my cats. Charlie loves to sleep in the basket on top, and it’s also a really handy place to store your cat toys (in the little circles).

The scratching post is sturdy and nice, but the top cushion I received was sewn back to front (the layer that attaches to the Velcro is inside the bed).

The base of the top cushion was sewn on backwards, so it doesn’t stick to the Velcro at all, not even a little bit.

I bought mine 4 years ago, and my cat loves it. This one is for a friend, it's sturdy, durable, and meets the basic needs of the cat.

Great value for money. The scratching barrel is sturdy. The cats love it.

Very nice scratching post, quite big and seems sturdy. The cushion on top is too thin, even though it’s soft.
