I bought the XL Plus scratching post in 2017 and was very satisfied with the workmanship. The current model from 2024 is not comparable in quality at all. Some parts of the posts already look very worn after just one month of use. The cosy bed is also no longer as well made. Visually, I find the scratching post very attractive... but I want it to last a long time. Therefore, I can no longer recommend the scratching post for the price. Such a shame!

The cushions don’t really stay in place. When my kitten jumps on them, he falls off along with the cushions. Really unsafe!! There are far too few Velcro straps attached, and they don’t stick properly to the base fabric.

I bought the cat tree a few years ago, and it held up pretty well until a few weeks back. My tomcat K. climbed into the top nest, and at that moment, one of the middle sections gave way and the whole thing broke in the middle of the night. K. fell and got hurt—only luck kept it from being something really serious, otherwise I would’ve taken ZooPlus to court. But even so, when I asked them if I could buy a replacement section, they told me it wasn’t possible. Very disappointed and unhappy.

The cushions are very small

The tree looks good and is pretty easy to assemble, but the industrial smell coming from it is really strong. Even after a couple of weeks, I still can't keep it inside the apartment, but luckily I have a balcony. The cat isn't interested in the tree—probably because of the smell.
