Been using it for years...
We’ve been using the houses as cave-like sleeping spots on top of the cupboards and on the catwalk for several years now. The unfortunately dangerous plastic connectors are always generously covered with transparent packing tape, and all corners and the base are stabilised with it as well. The scratching mat is covered with a cushion (without catnip). This way, the sleeping houses for our three Norwegians last for years.

Great for playing and sleeping
The item isn’t even fully unpacked yet, and Balou is already scratching away at the scratching board.
The catnip is so good that he immediately starts playing.
Now he’s moved into his finished little house (see proof photo "Balou in his terraced housing estate").
It would be absolutely brilliant if the scratching board could be ordered separately, but you can’t have everything.

Breaks quickly
Seems cheap, but breaks too quickly. A real shame, actually, as I wasn’t even expecting it to last long—I like swapping out toys, and I thought cardboard was a relatively eco-friendly option. If a cat jumps on the roof, the house completely collapses in on itself. Some plastic dowels pop out of the cardboard in the process. In other places, the cardboard bends so awkwardly that the house can’t be put back together afterwards.

Cat house
I was looking for a pretty scratching pad. My cats liked the house and immediately claimed it. Unfortunately, I had to take it away after two days because the connecting parts are small and made of plastic. My cat kept nibbling on them and detached them from the cardboard – that’s too dangerous for me. One piece is still missing :-(
The house itself is very nice, and if it gets redesigned, I would buy it again straight away.

My little tomcat loves his house.
Our tomcat loves the house as a retreat but also likes to go inside to scratch... we'll definitely buy it again as soon as the need arises!

Full marks
Our Maine Coon cat loves cardboard boxes, so I wanted something for the living room that also looks nice. Our Iny loves this house; it’s her retreat when she wants some peace and quiet. From my perspective, it’s sturdy enough, and the scratching cardboard is a great base – in short – a clear recommendation to buy at an affordable price!

Good idea
Basically a nice idea, but I wish the material for the house was made from sturdier cardboard. As it is, the house gives off a rather flimsy impression. The idea is good, but the execution could definitely be improved. I’d even be willing to pay more if the material were better.
I also think it could be solved with a slot-in system instead of screw connections...
There’s even a multi-storey cardboard castle for cats that can hold up a Maine Coon (though just barely)...

Lovely little house or tunnel
My cats love this. It's the second one they have had. Played the other one to death. They love it

Good but wasteful
It would be better if refill scratch pads were provided for these. With my 2 cats the scratch pad wears out but the box is intact. However, As I can’t find the right size of scratch mat, I’m forced to buy the whole thing each time.

Brilliant
My 2 cats love this - we bought one last Christmas and the older one uses it daily the younger one had to wait so I’ll be getting another.

Great for larger cats
Since our cat isn’t too keen on houses attached to scratching boards, we only set up the scratching board and get rid of the house.
Unfortunately, there’s no scratching board with these dimensions available without a house around it.
Our 5kg chunk absolutely loves throwing herself onto the scratching board, either to nap or to scratch wildly. With this scratching board, she can finally fit on it completely and absolutely adores it.
We can only recommend it, especially if you have slightly larger cats.

Cats love it even when it's falling down
I bought 2 of these 1 for me and 1 for my mum. I have male cats and my mum females. My cat tiger is loves to jump and it didn't take him long to jump on the roof ripping the holes where the clips hold it together. They can still get to the inside as it held its shape quite well but tiger still thinks the roof is his new bed. My mums cats can't get enough of it and will even argue for control of the inside if there's catnip in it but Carey has made it her home at all other times. A great buy

My girls love these!
I bought 1 each for my cats and with minimal assembly they were ready and both Sok's and Moet were in. They are in constant use and thankfully are of a sturdy make. I put a pet blanket inside to cover the scratch board and they spend their sleep time inside. Such a simple idea which gives a lot of pleasure.
I wish I had bought them sooner, its money well spent.

Not suitable for large cats
We have a British Shorthair pair, and both weigh around 7 kg (according to our vet, this weight is perfectly fine given the size of the cats). The house literally burst at the seams when one of the cats ventured inside. I'm still giving the house 4 stars because, despite bursting apart several times, our cats were very interested in it. I think the integrated scratching board was a particular attraction.

Basically a great scratching house, but the connections are life-threatening!
I have already had two of these houses, and my cats were very happy with them. Unfortunately, the connecting pieces are made of plastic and just small enough to be swallowed. My 9-month-old tomcat had to undergo surgery because I overlooked one of the pieces when throwing it away. A larger and less easily swallowable solution for assembly would be great.

Cat No. 1 accepts the house.
Considering that Cat No. 1 isn’t *that* into caves and cardboard boxes, he’s taken to it quite well. However, this only happened after I placed the open back against a cupboard. Seems like he doesn’t fancy being ambushed by Cat No. 2.
Cat No. 2 isn’t interested in it at all, but that was to be expected.
I’m deducting one point for the assembly process. I couldn’t manage with the plastic screws and ended up using cable ties instead. Plus, I was worried that Cat No. 1 might chew on the screws and...

So cutte!!!!!
My cats love cardboard boxes, but I wrongly assumed they wouldn't bother with this one. They love it, the ingenious spraying of the catnip on the scratching post inside, draws them in and they complete to roll around in it. Looks more attractive than an old cardboard box. Fun and gorgeous, love the print on the side and it looks so much nicer in the home than a tatty old cardboard box.

My princess Fanny's absolute favourite toy ;-)
It’s used several times a day, even just for walking through *gg*, or for hiding *gg*. Our boss absolutely loves this house!

My eldest loves it
My Siamese cat loves lying in it. I placed the house in front of the heater, so it’s nice and warm inside. I had some scratching boards left over and put them in there as well, which makes it last longer than the cardboard that’s already inside. Really recommend it :)
