Our cat loves cardboard furniture and this product was quite cheap, so I decided to order it. You can take this product apart with no problems, provided you're careful with it (and you certainly don't need a man to help you). I alternated pushing one or the other end by half a centimeter - not too much at once to avoid the sides getting wedged. Even though it took five minutes, there were no damages. As soon as I was finished, the scratching began. I find the sides quite attractive too. Delightful.
