Awful
First 2 bags were great, 3rd one was the new recipe and non resealable bag. Went stale, wasn't favoured by any of my cats when previously they ate what was put down and the price has increased by £14 since my last bag! I won't be buying again

Bag not resealable
My cat doesn't seem as keen on this as other varieties purchased in the past, such as the duck one. It's also disappointing that the 6.5kg bag isn't resealable. Every Wild Freedom bag of this size that I've purchased in the past has been resealable.

My cats both went mad for this but since the recipe change not so much. One won't touch it and the other, only if nothing else offered.
Typically I went for a bigger bag this order. Will avoid those that say "new recipe" in future

Kipples are very big
My cats loved the 400g. But having ordered the 6.5kg I am shocked how big the kipples are. Usually that's the size for dog kippples.

Beware of new recipe
My cat used to like this food a lot, but the change in recipe at the beginning of the year has triggered a food allergy. Please be aware when purchasing and monitor your cat if you note any changes in behaviour while feeding the food, it might be an allergy too. New Recipe! Beware of allergies
My cat only liked quality grain free dry food and this brand was one of the favourites since when I have discovered it about a year ago. Then it went out of stock for some time late in 2025 - Since it is back (around Feb 2026) my cat did not like it the same and since developed a food allergy. This allergy affects other dry food - only wet food it okay now after 11 yrs of dry. I am yet to establish what changed, but a word of caution. If the same happens to you, please contact zooplus.

Misleading. 59% of meat and protein is from poultry.
It Only contains 10% of lamb. It should not be promoted or marketed as lamb, it should poultry.
The new recipes also changed the size of the biscuits. It is so small compared with previous versions. Very disappointed.

My cats went wild for this stuff before, they have lost interest now. They WERE big and satisfying, maybe this is why. Very disappointing after waiting for them to come back in stock 🫤

All the cats love this......
When you have 9 cats its nice to find one that they will all enjoy. They each have their wet food preferences but all have the same buicuits, the green lambs variety they like the best.

Palatable
My girl has had problems for the last 2 years with swellings in her mouth. I despaired of her not eating and brought so many different small packs of food to try. Most went out for the local feral cats, but the lamb and duck flavours she ate well. At least for a time.... the struggle is real lol

too hard
this kibble was a good size and seemed good quality but it was far too hard for my cats to crunch. One of my cats that crunches all kibble was trying hard but only managed to break a few before swallowing. I am not giving it to him anymore as worried it will damage his teeth . He catches and eats pray but this is harder than raw bones .

At last!
This food has gone down very well in our house with all kitties. No upset tummys either. Fantastic. Grain free and very very similer to another "well known" brand flavour wise but almost £6 cheaper. Perfect. Will be buying this from now on.

Sudden allergic reaction to the food
I have two cats. One of them won’t touch the new food at all (which we always used as a treat before they changed the recipe). The other one has had allergic reactions and has scratched and licked herself raw in several places. Total flop and disappointment
Totally disappointed. I always liked buying this food for my cat because of the size and consistency, since he’s on a permanent “diet”. That means the dry food pieces are counted out and given to him. With the old food, it was great because the pieces were really big and compact.
Now, the pieces are smaller, really crumbly, nothing like the old food. It’s hard for me to portion it out because I don’t know how much I should feed him with these “airy bits”.

The kibbles already look worse than the old version – they’re lighter in colour and drier... As someone mentioned above, there’s no zip-lock closure, which the previous 2kg version had. Recipe change led to poor quality

Lamb flavour
My Maine Coon and Siberian cats really liked them. Because of the potatoes, I didn’t feel comfortable giving them freely as they can cause sensitivities, so I used them as a snack or treat, alternating with the insect-based ones. I really appreciated that they were bigger than usual and very crumbly. I recommend them for adding variety to flavours, as long as you give them in moderation alongside the usual protein-based treats. However, I would have preferred the old recipe.
