Customers have mixed reviews about the cat food's effectiveness in weight management. Some found it beneficial, reporting weight loss and improved energy levels in their cats. However, others noted that their cats remained hungry and sometimes gained weight. Consistency in portion control seems key, and while some cats enjoy the taste, others lose interest over time. Overall, the product has potential but requires careful adherence to feeding guidelines.

She loves it
Brought as my cat needs to lose nearly 2kg. She is always on the hunt for food, no matter which one given. This one so far she hasnt cried out. Hopefully this one continues to fill her and she loses those unwanted lbs. I'll be weighing her every 2wks for a start. Fingers crossed

It works.
I have a FIP-positive tomcat who unfortunately became overweight, and I didn’t know how to help him lose weight anymore. Then I tried this food and I’m thrilled after just 3 weeks. Yes, he’s constantly hungry, but I’ve stayed consistent with only the dry food, and he already seems much happier now.
Super

Cats like it.
Bought for my overweight cat in vet recommendation. You must stick to the feeding regime. Weighing the food out. My cat lost 800g in 6 months. We then increased her daily amount by 10 grams and she’s maintaining that weight. I Definitely recommend this food.

Cats no longer begging for food all day
I use the recommended amount for overweight cats on my two senior cats. Our vet recommended satiety food. They have been losing weight AND not begging for food all the time! I measure out the amount for the day and feed 4 meals a day. That way they can graze. They like this variety as well. Very happy cats and very happy guardians!

Excellent food
I put my cat on this food as she was putting weight on as she got older and less inactive. In the last few years she has slowly lost weight which is fantastic, I always give her as much as she wants really, if I was strict with food then she would have lost a lot more.
When I went to the vets they asked what food I had her on and I told them and they said it’s the best food on the market.

1.6kg down!
Our cat has very severe joint problems and absolutely needed to lose weight. With this food, it finally worked. Since the beginning of April, she has lost 1.6kg and no longer needs painkillers.
Her feeling of hunger is also kept in check (unfortunately, she can eat anything and everything at any time).
We followed the feeding instructions on the packaging exactly, even though it seems like very little. She gets her food in 5 portions spread throughout the day (automatic feeder).

It works!
My cat went up to 5.9kg over lockdown, she was slow, not doing much and very very lazy! In 8 months eating this she's down to 4.3kg, back to herself, always out and bounding around and the vet said she's her perfect weight. You have to be strict and weigh every single meal (it doesn't look much) and be strong by not giving more food when they hassle for it. If you strictly follow the guidance this food will get the excess off.

Excellent feed
I've been feeding this food for about 2 weeks now, following the vet's instructions, as my neutered indoor cat unfortunately tends to be overweight. She accepted the food straight away and loves it. Of course, it's strictly rationed since she's supposed to lose weight. Hopefully, I'll see if it really works in 8-12 weeks.
I'll definitely buy this food again!

Love it
I have a rather overweight cat and she loves this food. Paired with regular exercise, she has lost weight and has more energy. My other two also love it so I would recommend the brand too as well as this specific food.

Helps!
We have two cats who need to lose at least 1 kilo (weight gain due to arthritis). The food is very helpful for weight loss and works well, as long as you, as the owner, stick strictly to the recommended portions.
Good to know for anyone currently considering buying this food: it takes a few days for the animals to adjust to it. But after that, it works brilliantly! Until then, you should expect a bit of whining.

Diet? Digestion's spot on though!
It's quite an expensive product, and without the strictest rationing, the problem cat stays at his 7.2 kg.
I used a different food for a month and am very glad to have gone back to Royal Canin.
The stools of my three cats are much better again.
They don't smell so disgusting, aren't mushy, and even the quantity seems healthier to me.
So, just for that reason, I'll stick with this food.
Whether it correlates with the animals' health is, of course, questionable, but cleaner litter trays!

Was recommended to us by the vet.
Our cat weighed 5.9 kg when we took her in January 2020, and now, after almost 6 months, her weight is down to 5.0 kg. The food is eaten without any issues.

Big Kitty is Shrinking - part 2
Big Kitty is down from 8.0 kg to 5.4 kg in 6 months! The vet was very pleased and wants him down to 5.0 kg which should be doable even if I feed him a 'light' cat food at least one meal per day. He is a lot more active now and no longer feels like a furry kettle bell.

This works!
My cat Cookie was a cat protection cat and sadly for her was kept in a pen. She is a vocal cat and to keep her quiet in her pen she got fed. The more she meowed the more she was fed. We took her on at 10.5kg! She looked like she had swallowed a football and she could hardly move. The obvious dangers of diabetes and heart illnesses were there but I kept her diet manageable and with this food and she is now 4.10kg and is an extremely active and lively cat whom we have loved watching “grow”

Big Kitty is shrinking!
My 8kg longhair male cat (may be part Maine Coon) was put on this by Vet in January 2020. I measure out the correct amount and isolate him from other two cats to feed him. He no longer has access to their food which is helping with his weight loss, but even better is he really loves this food. And he is showing progress by mid-March. The goal is to get him down to 6kg over a year. He is already becoming more active so i am hopeful that this is a realistic goal.

Sugar and overweight cats
I have an overweight kitty and a skinny kitty with diabetes. This is the perfect solution for me—I can feed both of them Satiety. They really enjoy it, and since the diabetic kitty has very few teeth left, these kibbles can easily be softened with a bit of water. All in all, I’m very satisfied.
