Not a nice smell
They looked really cute but my kitten didn't go for them. I smelled them myself and the smell is horrible it's something between cheese brine and sweat, so I can't blame her.
Awfully smelly
These little pillows look really cute. Unfortunately, they smell very peculiar. A little like sweaty shoes-not at all pleasant! I have 3 cats and all looked at me with complete disdain when they received their new gift. They will sadly be put in the bin.

Bought these as a bit of extra stimulation for my 15 yo indoor tigeress. She loves cat nip but I wanted something that didn’t get her over the moon excited. These little pillows seem well made and given she’s snoozing either with her head right on it or with it between her paws I’d say she’s very happy with them.
They do have a fairly potent smell which may not be everyone’s cup of tea. For me it just reminds me of my Nan who used to take valerian drops at night...

Does anyone else think these smell of vomit?
We are getting an rescue cat in a few days and in anticipation bought these a few weeks ago. Just opened the packaging and they smell disgusting - like vomit! Not sure whether it's because they've been stored in plastic for a few weeks, so have left them in the shed to see if the smell disappears. Obviously can't review on how a cat would take to them, but if the smell doesn't go I'll be throwing them away.

Both my kitties have gone absolutely nuts over these valerian pillows more so than the standard catnip my god I think these r the best things I've ever got them I don't think I'll go bk to standard catnip as they love these more

Amazing!
My BHS doesn’t really play with toys and does not react to cat hip either, however, after reading the reviews for these pillows, I was intrigued and had to buy. My cat reacted to these straight away and absolutely loved them! Such a great little toy and will continue to buy in the future.
On a side note, this was my first order with Zoo Plus and I’m really impressed - great range of products at a good price and delivery was super quick!

Fab little cat toy
I hadn't even realised that my cat had ripped the packet open before I even gave it to her! Needless to say she loved it, and rolled around rubbing her face all over it for ages!
Cats love them, but the potency goes off quite fast
My cats go totally crazy for these and after they play with them, they want to play with their other toys, too. Only problem is that after a few weeks or so the scent is less strong, so they pretty much lose interest.
Best thing ever!
Our cats struggle to wait for us to open the box to get to these. They absolutely adore them and will happily play with them for some time. We have several around the house and they still play with the older ones that are less fragrant. I recommend these to anyone I know with cats, even bought some for a friend who said "I have not seen them this happy for a long time!"

good toy
we have three cats, the oldest loves these and its fun to see a 9/10 year old cat turn back into a kitten every time she plays with it. Rolling around and beating it up without a care in the world.
another one has no interest at all, but she also doesn't care about catnip that much either.
so it really depends on the cat if they'll respond to it.
The 'pillows' are a good size and very durable, for rough play.
would buy again.

Cue crazy kitty
I put the parcel down after picking it up and he went straight for it. When the pillows were still in packet he just face planted it and loving the scent.
Yes the scent it strong. But happy to pay the price for his happiness. I put the pillow in another bag to muster the smell abit.

Excellent lockdown toy!
Wow! Kitties snatched them out of my hands and have been rolling around blissfully ever since!
Our cats are under as much stress as we are right now, this helped relieve lots of pent up kitty stress.

All 4 cats are literally obsessed with these pillows and won’t leave them alone. One of the very nervous cats seemed to calm right down. Amazing to see her so chilled out.
