Lasted about thirty seconds before the elastic snapped. It broke again while I was removing it from my cat to dispose of, leaving him playing with a short length of string which could easily have been swallowed, potentially causing him serious harm. Obviously all toys suffer wear and tear and pets should always be supervised while playing with them, but this didn't last five minutes and could have been dangerous even with supervision.

I've purchased many toys for my maine coon, but this is the first one that he doesn't stop playing with. It will keep them entertained all day! Must have

Just a plushie toy on an extra long string that hangs in the doorway, supposedly has catnip but my cat didn’t react to it at all - won’t touch it Probably could make a more effective and exciting DIY version of this

Have bought this a few times over the years. Cats adore it and destroy it in a couple of weeks. The spring in the clip is strong enough for them to pull at the toy and fight with it.

Our cat managed to snap the elastic very quickly after putting it up so it was a waste of money.

They love it! I saw the reviews and won't leave it hanging for the safety issues mentioned. But I think taking away toys and bringing them out keeps them interesting and for the price happy to have this as supervised play

My cats loved it so much that one of them went to play with it and snapped the line. I then thought of tying it together again but as soon as it was up she had it detached. Went in the bin the day after I received it.

Our kitten loves this toy, we put it up every tea time and it’s a great distraction for her! Seen lots of reviews with negative remarks on the danger of the long elastic string; it wouldn’t as it does without that and as long as you only have hung up whilst you are able to be in the room I wouldn’t see a problem.

Love this! Kitten got very excited when I took it out of the box & was impatiently waiting for me to release it from the packaging! I couldn't work out from the pictures how it attached to anything, but it couldn't be simpler to stretch around the top of the door frame. Looks so much fun to bat around & the elastic makes it ping back up whenever it's pulled. Best £3.49 I've spent in a long time!

I've looped this around a door handle rather than use the plastic frame as I found it didn't hold on to the top of the door very well. The bird itself is great, and tough - my cat loves batting it about, and it's stood up very well to this.

Got this for my 13 week old kitten and she loves it. Really sturdy but I did find I had to tie it in a knot as it was too loose but otherwise amazing.

Ive had this toy for a couple months now & it has stretched out ( i didnt think much of it) however i noticed last night my cat was hissing and i could hear she was struggling with something & when i went to see the string was wrapped around her neck and she couldnt get it of, so please dont put this up at night as it can be dangerous otherwise i have no other issues

The new 2am game is ‘ping the duck onto the window ledge’’! Keeps them entertained for ages. Ended up buying a second one for upstairs... one month on and still getting my money’s worth out of these things!

Purchased this for my 12 year old cat as she likes chasing these types of toys. We took it off the door frame attachment and just used the duck and the very long piece of elastic to make small jumps and grabs for her. She goes absolutely ballistic for it. She even likes to chase the button end! Her favourite toy by far. Nothing beats her proud look as she clutches her very dead duck in her paws :)

My two 3 month girls love this mad bird on elastic! It’s fun as I play this with them and they wait for me to stretch the elastic and let go so they can jump in the air to catch it! I do make sure I am about when they use it as the elastic is long and can get caught in little claws and tangle round the body, but it’s the best money I have spent in ages, just great fun and good exercise ( for both of us!!)

This is such fun for the 2 kittens, both 11 weeks old! Daisy and Belle love this toy especially when I hold it to the ground from a distance and let it go - it bounces up high in the air and they leap for it as it comes down to the ground! I think I have as much fun watching them as they do playing!! I don’t leave them alone with this toy because of the elastic cord so it gives us all some enjoyable kitty/human time together!!
