Head First
My cat absolutely loves this maze at first he used his paws to knock the treats through now though he just dives in head first and eats from the top ... talk about lazy :) .. but it's a fantastic gadget and keeps him occupied for ages ..

my cat is not clever enough to use it!
My cat was crying infront of it! I gave this to my friend! My friend's cat also didn't play at all!!

Not for the very intelligent cat
Our eleven month old cat was capable of using the food maze one minute after being introduced to it.
She then got frustrated, grabbed hold of one of the edges with her teeth, shook it, and then pulled the maze over and all the biscuits came out. The base needs to be heavier. We have wedged the base with a block of wood and tried tying the maze to something else but she still manages to pull it over. We have gone back to the drawing board.

not suitable for greedy bigger cat
Our smaller burmese stuck her head in the top and ate. The greedy big boy initially was slowed down by hooking the food out but soon tired of this - started knocking it over and finally just snapped the top off!

Not for the un-bright cats :/
My cat, Bengi, is an absolute pigglet and really needs to lose weight, so the vet had suggested something to slow down eating and make meal times more of a challenge. However, Bengi is just not clever enough to get this. I've persevered for a week now, but have given up because I'm fed up with the constant pestering and meowing :( Having said that, I can't really fault the product. It's well made, easy to take apart and clean, and looks great - although the 'stem' could do with being a little longer because the distance from the base bowl to the maze is not high enough. It's a shame my cat is so thick and I'm having to pass this on to another person :(

Addicted
This isn't for every cat, I have four and only one is absolutely addicted to getting her biscuits out of it. When its empty she will ignore a bowl of biscuits and sit next to it till the same biscuits are put in it for her to hook out! One or two of the other cats may have the odd play, but I can understand why some cats aren't bothered. It has been very useful for letting her have the biscuits she wants that I don't want the others to get at...one is a piggy and can't be asked and another is on renal food and doesn't touch it either. For my fur family it's brilliant.

Great idea but not for big cats
This product looks great but for our big man who couldn't get his paws in easily and is tall enough to just stick his head in the top to get at the food it just didn't work at all. In the end we gave it to our local cats protection centre where the cats there apparently love it. It's pros are it is easy to clean and light weight (again not good for a big cat)and has a varying difficulties and as for cons just not tall enough for larger cats the openings also need to be larger to get big paws in and prevent stuck paws.

Great!
I recently rehomed a cat from a rescue centre and, as I was going to be at work all day, I decided to buy one of these to keep him amused! The first meal he had, I put into a normal dish and it was gone in a matter of minutes...I don't think he even chewed some of the biscuits! The second meal I put into the Food Maze. Wow! What a difference! After a few seconds of confusion he'd worked out how to get his biscuits out of it (the correct way...I put a bowl over the hole from the start just to make sure he didn't cheat!). Over the course of the next 2 hrs (he'd come and have a cuddle with me in the lounge, and then would go back to it) he finished all the biscuits. Total success! :)

No more bad manners at meal times!
My three cats were always scoffing their food down at 90 miles per hour! No more having to feed them separately or having three food bowls on the floor! My dogs cannot get to the food so that's another plus point-It took my youngest cat under 3 mins to work out how to get her breakfast-took my middle cat ages to work out how to get food out and decided it was to much trouble and promptly stuck his head in the top BUT when he tried to get his head back out found it was stuck he went round the room with dispenser over his head and the food all over the floor!(Now got a saucer over the top of dispenser)My oldest cat just waits for everyone else to paw the treats into bottom bowl!
Love the food maze -fantastic value for money- its well made- Great idea to allow the maze to have different levels of play.My cats now eat more slowly and when they want to as the food maze is available to them all the time. Also there is no more scrapping and swearing over who eats the most food! A def 5/5 or me AND my cats!

Good, but could do with a wobble
I bought this to entertain my indoor cats and to make feeding for them more interesting. They learned the "trick" very quickly and then the male learned that by tipping it over all the food comes out.
I'm pleased with the product, but would suggest a self-righting mechanism (wobble) in future versions.

love the food maze
My two persian kittens love the food maze one figure it out pretty quick the other one just waits for the food to fall out. As other customer have said it is not very stable and can fall over (my kittens are small) Is worth the money for the hours of fun.

Great for slowing down feed times.
Fab, robust product.
Given it a few modifications such as, plasticine in base (as tips over when pulled) and a lid to stop the savage one eating out of the top!
It keeps the kitty cats entertained and out of trouble for ages!
Well worth the money and fits nicely with the rest of the Catit range that they now have. Spoilt brats!

My cats love this!
Brilliant product. Didnt take long for my two to suss it out and I use it to put lower fat dried food in for my slightly overweight cat. Like some reviewers have already mentioned, it does topple over if the cats get a bit heavy pawed with it, but its sturdy enough to handle this. Would highly recommend this!

Exellent feeding labyrinth!
Our two cats love this labyrinth.
We can see that they have more fun and they get more skilled at chasing toys in general. Very good!

Quality toy but needs design rethink
My cats love this, they paw the food and scoop it out but if the food gets to areas where they can't get at it, they get quite frustrated. Unfortunately, it can tip over easily so really needed to be weighted at the base. But I would recommend this.

Great for entertainment and slowing down greedy cats!
My friend has dubbed this 'the goblet of fire'. Have had it for a while but Claude has recently taking to eating so fast he makes himself ill so this is where his dinners are going to get served from now on. Yes, the hole at the top is too large (or just right, depending on how you look at it... like if you're a cat and your head fits through it to gobble straight out of the top) but like the reviewer above I simply got something that fitted into/over the hole.
Also, for clever cats, you can rotate the plates on each level to reduce the size available for the treats to fall through, increasing the difficulty.

great at keeping my greedy cat busy
I bought this for my greedy indoor cat and he loves it, keeps him occupied for ages. He has mananged to knock it over a few times but its pretty sturdy and hasn't been damaged at all. There is quite a large opening in the top, luckily my cats head doesn't fit in.

Good Value Even If Your Cat Isn't A Kitten
I bought this for my 18month old and 3 year old cat and they both immediately took an interest in playing with it. Good value for money!

They love it
I have three cats and one, a LaPerm is rather greedy so I thought this would be good to slow him down and keep him amused. All 3 picked it up in seconds and I use it all the time, as someone else said the top is rather big and the LaPerm initially just stuck his head in the top as it was easier, but I had some plastic childrens bowls that I feed the cats in and they fit perfectly in the hole to stop cheating and if it's dragged over the bowl doesn't get broken. It's a hit all round!!

A slight redesign needed
I have a Bengal who needs constant amusement and she (as usual) figured the whole think out in a few minutes. The only fault with the item is that I put small snacks in which get trapped round the sides, she gets frustrated trying to get them and fairly easily tips the whole thing over. It needs a better design to make it more sturdy so it doesn't tip over. Otherwise a good product.
