Received this toy this morning and wasn't expecting it to work from reading previous reviews. Oh how wrong I was! I pulled out the little battery tab and instantly it made a noise I can only describe as 'crickets on speed' and has not stopped since. It sounds a bit like a very, very fast alarm and it's not so quiet either. 9 hours later I've just about had enough and I wish the thing would stop working. I'm about to go bury it in the garden ;) on the upside, kitty loves it... And at least it worked, sort of...

Our cat absolutely loves this toy - it's so funny to watch. Unfortunately the feathers are on their way out but still worth it for the joy this toy has given all of us!

Bought a couple of packs of these sound mice & my Turkish Van cross went mad over them and wouldn't leave them alone so I've left them all over the house to stop her being bored whilst I'm away. Incredible buy.

bought this 6 months ago and my little wee devil plays it every day still last. very impressive

My 2 rescue cats love this toy and as soon as they hear it squeak they come running to play with it even if they are in a different room.It sounds very realistic and my cats go crazy for it. It,s the best toy i,ve ever bought for them.

Both my boys go crazy for this toy and it,s one of the best products i,ve ever bought!. The squeak must be very realistic as they go nuts as soon as i start to play with it;even if my cats are in another room they can hear the squeak and they both rush to play with it. They pass it to each other and love when i hide it under the sofa throw,cushions,etc. Fantastic toy which i recommend as do my cats:0)

The bird-like chirp this mouse toy makes is my kittens' favourite noise! The moment they hear it they both come running and, once captured, both of them will try to drag the whole rod under the bed to kill in private without the other noticing.

Bought the 3 pack. 1st one had a small squeak which lasted 30 minutes, 2nd had no squeak, 3rd one still squeaking for now. Rather disappointed. Having said that my cat loves to play with them.

I have bought this toy before for my cat, he absolutely loved it although the sound chip didn't last that long. But this time I bought the pack of 3 and two of them did not make any sound at all! The quality has also gone down - they are smaller and of poorer construction, and the pole is half the length it was before. My cat is still having fun trying to chase them but I don't think they will last very long before they fall apart. Disappointing.

If it's a mouse why has it got feathers, and if it's got feathers why aren't they fixed on better? My cat destroyed them within the first day but otherwise likes playing with the toy and the squeak is quiet and so bearable even for human ears!

My cat Mojo absolutely loves this toy, the squeaking drives him nuts, he just can't help himself! If used alot though the battery does run out and i cant figure out how to change the battery! Doesn't put mojo off though, he still loves it!

Mog, my persian has played a little with all the different dangler toys I got in a real mixed box,hes never been a really playful cat like some of my moggies. But when I got the Sound-Mouse toy out, he went mad! I was almost crying with laughter watching him try to take it away only for it to ping back again, jumping and spinning round in a total frenzy,even rolling over and showing his belly! I had to hide it when he started panting, but he would have played for hours otherwise - don´t think the battery will last long at this rate - wel worth the money and will definatly be buying more in the future.

My cat (Shadow)loves this toy! he went into the box where I'd hidden it & unwrapped it before I gave it to him. He loves the "wiggly-ness" & the squeak. The only probolem with it is that he bit holes in the stick & ruined the elastic only a couple of days after he got it, Otherwise, a great toy & I would still reccomend it.

This arrived last night and our kitten immediately went crazy for it! The sound was a bit annoying but he seemed to love it! Unfortunately, when i got it out this morning, there wasn't a sound to be heard from the mouse. It doesn't seem to have dampered his enthusiasm for it though although I'm a bit disappointed it broke so quickly.

Our cat absolutely adores this product - so much so that I have just placed an order for 5 more incase anything should happen to it. Can highly recommend this toy not just because of the fishing-rod theme and the catnip toy, but the noise is addictive and he loves it.

Since this chirpy mouse arrived this afternoon my 2 slinky black felines have played with it incessantly. They're just fascinated with it, nuzzling it, batting it, dragging it around and hiding it or chasing it like mad when the humans get involved. A real hit.

It's a very good product! My cats become crazy for this toy, and the sound is a great idea, it seems a bird!

They love this so much they run around the house with it even when I'm not playing with them!!

Our kitten was rather aprehensive at first because of the noise, but now he's got used to it he loves to pounce on, stalk & devour this noisy wee mouse! Great fun for us & him!

Have to say I was very impressed with this particular toy. I've bought lots of cat toys for my 6 year old cat and she has played with none of them to date but she will play with this and seems to really quite likes it. The sound the toy makes is really good but it sounds more like a bird than a mouse. However I would recommend this toy, its great value for money and the cats appears to get a lot of enjoyment from it.
