Ultra Litter Scoop

I've been wanting a fine mesh scoop for ages and now I have one. Great value for money and works perfectly with the fine granules in Worlds Best cat litter.

Lets get this straight from the off. This scoop is no good for larger grained litter . It's only really useable with a very fine litter. Try and clean the whole tray using it, and you could be making more work for yourself. The holes are tiny, so it takes a while for stuff to filter through, however, this scoop will prove to be a very worthwhile addition! I promise you that. I have 15 litter trays that I clean every day, so do have more experience than most. The best way to deal with your litter tray is as follows... Use a standard scoop to take out the large lumps of 'nastiness'. This is quick and easy, as scoops with larger holes will sieve quicker. Take care doing it - every time you bash a lump and bits break off, they will stay in your tray making it smell... Once you've removed the large lumps, shake the tray, so the smallest chunks rise to the top. these are bits that have broken off the larger chunks as you've cleaned the tray/your cat has dug around. Use this scoop to remove those bits. It will keep your tray fresher for longer, and keep your costs down as you won't be constantly replacing the whole tray contents.

I use Professional Classic litter which has a fine granule, and have found the ideal solution is to use Trixie clumping litter scoop for the larger 'bits'together with this scoop every day or so to fish out the smaller pieces of used litter. At only 99p each its hardly extravagant and keeps the tray very clean.I think this scoop alone would have too fine holes but it is great in tandem with the other Trixie scoop. Both have about 6inch handles and seem sturdy to use.

If you use the clay litter like Tigerino Canada, then you need one of these fine mesh scoops. It's able to remove all traces of used litter leaving your tray completely clean, and saving you money as you'll rarely need to do a complete litter change. I feel like I'm playing in a sand pit when i clean out the litter trays using this scoop.You scoop some up and shake, like sifting flour.

First of all this is simply the best money i have ever spent! I have been using a useless scoop for far to long and everything drops through but i bought this because i use extremely fine cat litter (classy cat or tigerino) and this catches everything but the clean. it's perfect however wouldn't recommend for a chunky litter.

I have tried for years to replace an old metal scoop that worked really well. I have since bought half a dozen or more ranging in price but always went back to the old one. However, my new scoop is the bees knees!. It picks all the dirty litter up even the fine stuff. Brilliant value a must have for kitty owners!

This is the best litter scooop ever. Its handy easy to clean and leaves nothing unwantet leftofers in the litter box. and at the price it does not matter if it breaks before you need to chance it anyway but dont step on it or spank the walls with it ;D its supose to be used in the litterbox for removing stuff from the cats. not anything else. Use it with care and you shall have wonder litter scoop for a looong time i have 4 and they are over 1 year old. need to re-new them now anyway as they dont last forever just like our own toilet stuff ;D

I have bought 3 of these scoops over the past couple of years as they are great for using with the Extreme Cat Litter from Zooplus. Yes, the mesh is fine, but so is this litter (I've also used it with Worlds Best cat litter with no problems. I use this litter for finer 'bits' and an normal scoop for the big clumps. The only reason this isn't rated higher is that the scoop is quite thin and not the strongest, but for £1.90 what do you expect? Use it with the right litter and you're away

I bought this because the description said "ideal for clumping cat litter". However like the other 2 reviews (kicking myself for not reading them) the mesh is too fine to allow litter to flow through. I use World's Best which is a clumping litter but this scoop does not sift the unclumped litter through.

I'm araid I have to agree with the previous review even though I use a very different type of litter (World's Best Cat litter) which is actually quite fine and clumping. This scoop allows almost no litter through and I imagine it's only suited to fine sand-type litter.

I use catsan cat litter which this scoop doesn't handle well. The grill is too fine to allow the litter to pass through so when you try to scoop poo with it you get just as much litter. It isn't possible to shake the scoop to get the clean litter to pass through so you are left with a choice between throwing out extra litter or trying to only scoop the poo. It may work well with fine litter but not with course litter.

I've been using it for a long time and it's a large litter box for two cats. It clumps really well and holds in odours perfectly; you just need to remove the dirty bits daily and top up the amount. It doesn't produce any dust that the cats could inhale and you can easily dispose of it with the organic waste.

I've been using this scoop for fine litter (Golden White) for years, and I order new ones every time I accidentally leave it in my bin bag and it ends up in the container. I highly recommend this product—it leaves the litter spotless after use.

A product with a rather lightweight plastic build; the closely spaced holes make it a good sieve if you use fine sand.

At first it felt a bit strange, but not as much litter goes to waste as with the previous scoop.

My two cats love digging in the thick layer of "litter" I put in their litter box. I then clean it with this scoop, which removes their waste precisely, leaving the rest of the litter perfectly clean.

I bought this scoop looking for a budget-friendly solution for cleaning the litter box, but the savings turned out to be a drawback in use. The price is low, ideal if you want to spend very little. The plastic is quite thin and feels like it could break under pressure. Not suitable if you need to remove compact clumps. The holes are too wide, which doesn't allow for proper cleaning of the litter box.

I've been using it for years, I have three cats, and you absolutely can't smell anything in my house. It clumps well, lasts me ages, and at this price I can't find it anywhere except on zooplus.

I bought a scoop at my local Meny, but it had big holes and was only suitable for large clumps. This one catches almost everything and lets the clean litter fall through. Plus, the teeth on the underside help lift clumps of fresh urine from the bottom without the scoop scraping against the base and smearing the clump. A good purchase, and it's cheap too.

I have 5 cats, and this litter has kept everyone happy. It absorbs well, doesn’t create dust, can be disposed of in the toilet in small amounts, isn’t too heavy, is reasonably priced, absorbs bad odours, and doesn’t bother the cats’ paws. Recommended.

Of all the litters I've tried so far, this is the best. It neutralises odours really well, it's compostable and you can even flush it down the toilet, which I do every day.
