We were looking for sturdy containers with high edges for our two Maine Coon mixes. One of them digs for several minutes every time – and this litter box fits quite well. Hardly any litter ends up outside. It looks neutral, and the scoop holder is practical. But! Unfortunately, over time, the clips for securing the inlays have disappeared, and the inlay shifts, causing urine to seep into the gap, and: it suddenly smells absolutely awful. The inlays also start to absorb the odour quite strongly after about 4 weeks anyway.

Very nice design, but the accompanying liner meant to make emptying easier is not suitable for cats that scratch. Urine runs into the tray, so it doesn’t actually make emptying any easier. The liner is difficult to get rid of odours from. Therefore, the price-performance ratio is not reasonable.

We have two Maine Coons and two Norwegian Forest Cats – depending on whether they "park" forwards or backwards, their rear hangs over the edge and part of their big business ends up outside... Because of a standing urinator, we were looking for a litter box with high sides, which works great for that purpose, but unfortunately now something else ends up outside :) The scoops and the attachments are great. Certainly ideal for smaller cats, but only somewhat suitable for larger ones.

I have bought several ModKat Flip Cat Litter box’s from Zooplus. The litter box is excellent with the detachable liner - making it easy to keep clean. Zooplus used to sell triple packs of replacement liners which are essential as the liner is only recommended for three months use. Zooplus no longer sell the liners and customer service advise they have been delisted. Liners are very difficult to find in the UK and expensive to import from the EU ruining what was a brilliant product

I bought these a while ago, and they are the best boxes I’ve had. However, for some reason, you stopped selling the replacement liners, so these boxes are now a waste of money as finding them anywhere else in the UK is proving impossible.

This cat litter tray is brilliant but you do need to use a liner with it. The tray comes with one reusable liner which is not enough because it needs to be washed when you change the litter. You used to be able to buy extra liners but they are no longer listed. This is an expensive tray and without being able to buy extra liners which do not last forever in my opinion it’s useless.

Why sell the boxes if you are not going to sell the needed litter liner replacements?! Beginning to regret getting all 3 of my cats used to these...

I bought the litter box because I thought my cat wouldn't be able to pee outside of it anymore. Unfortunately, she still manages to reach the gap between the lid and the box. :(

I ordered this litter box, among other things, to take a closer look at it. I think it’s great in terms of design, but I wonder which cats, apart from kittens, are supposed to use it. It’s quite small, so I decided to go for a different litter box instead. That one was a bit bigger (though in my opinion still too small). A real shame, so only 3 stars.

After using it for some time, I unfortunately have to say that my stand-up pee-er (big tomcat) still manages to pee right in the gap between the litter box and the lid. Therefore, I can only recommend the ModKat litter box for small stand-up pee-ers. Furthermore, the opening at the front is so low that when scratching in the litter box, quite a bit of cat litter falls out, leaving fine litter in front of the box.

For small cats, the litter box is fine. Unfortunately, our very large tomcat, weighing 8.5 kg, also wants to use it and ends up standing with two paws outside, peeing over the edge/under the lid while standing... so it's unsuitable.

The design and workmanship are top-notch, but unfortunately, the box is a bit too small. My mini cats (3kg) can only just about turn around inside, and you can't put the lid on, otherwise the ladies can't sit upright while using it. Add 5cm to all three sides, and it would be the best litter box in the world. I didn’t use the bag; I find it unnecessary.

GOOD: - No "seams" between the top and bottom parts (so for stand-up pee-ers, nothing can leak out there). - Clear design. - Easy to clean (as long as you skip the bag, wash it regularly, and you're good to go – I find the bag very impractical). BAD: - Too small! My relatively large stand-up pee-er just stays inside and usually pees out of the entrance at the front! There's not really enough space to turn or move around (she does this in larger toilets). - Expensive.

Looks good, cats like it, but now after several months of use finding that the tarp smells of pee in the seams, despite scrubbing/disinfecting every 3 or 4 days. Too expensive to keep replacing the tarp.

Overall, a top-quality product, everything is really well thought out. BUT, for some strange reason, my cats sit in it with their heads facing backwards and their bottoms forwards, and unfortunately, the pee ended up right between the toilet and the grey liner. As a result, the seams of the liner absorbed it, making it unusable. I'm now using the toilet without the liner, but for the price, that's just too expensive.

The cat litter box itself is certainly great, but unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to try it out because it’s definitely too small for my Maine Coon girl. When my "big one" (5 years old, well-grown, 7kg) sits inside, the thing is completely filled. She can just about turn around, but that’s not going to work, so I’m sending it back. I really think the idea with the tarp is brilliant, and it’s very sturdy. I would have loved to use it – but not with a fully grown Maine Coon.

Super cat litter box, no question about it. However, I'm only giving three stars because it's missing a flap, and my tomcat always scratches the litter out. Otherwise, it's great.
