Tigerino Plant-Based Litter Tofu Pellets - Milky Scent

I like this type of litter. The expensive brand kxtkxn is priced outrageously and I needed to find something cheaper. I like the clumping. It dosnt melt and then harden into my cats fur on her feet or track like other eco litter ive tried. But the smell, personally i like vanilla smells but there's something else in it that makes it bad and once you've got cat pee and poop smells in in there its absolutely foul. It would need fully replaced every 2 days to make it usable. A real shame.

This litter clumps well, however, unfortunately it is not very good at absorbing odours. I would be going back to Katkin tofu litter.

I think this is on my top 5 for worst litters. After 3 days of use, considering daily removal of cumpls and poos the litter didn’t vover the smell. Even after cleaning the litter still smelled as it was dirty. The only good thing that i can say about this litter is that it barely stacked to the cats paws.

So, we've tried both the milk and the green tea versions. There's nothing to complain about with the green tea one. Unfortunately, we were rather disappointed with the milk version. It doesn't bind odours nearly as well and it often sticks to the bottom of the toilet (stainless steel). That's why we'll only be buying the other version from now on. I've already reviewed that one too, but gave it 4 stars, mainly because I think it's a bit pricey.

We've been testing this litter for three weeks now and we won't be using it any further. It does have some good points, like dissolving well in water, not being dusty, and clumping nicely. However, our cats don't bury their business in it at all anymore, and two of them avoid it so much that they've actually started being unclean rather than use the litter. I imagine this might be down to the chemical smell as well. It really does stink quite badly.

I bought this litter for my tomcat because I was looking for something as low-dust as possible. At first, the smell was still somewhat acceptable, but after just two days, an unpleasant odour develops that mixes with a milky, urine-like scent – even though I clean the litter box regularly. It’s a pity, because I actually really like the low-dust texture. Still, I’ll keep looking for a litter that binds odours better while also being low in dust.

I own a self-cleaning litter box, and tofu litter is said to be one of the best types for this kind of box. The urine clumps well, and the litter itself is made up of small grains, almost like rice. However, it has a terrible smell... Maybe I should try an unscented one, but this one, after a while, takes on a sickly sweet, vaguely fishy odor that’s just awful. I won’t buy it again. What a shame.
