This cat litter has a mixed bag of reviews. Many users praise its pleasant baby powder scent, effective clumping, and minimal dust, making it a favourite for long-term use. However, some find the clumping inconsistent, leading to messy situations, and note that it can be quite dusty. Despite these issues, it remains a popular choice for its value and performance, with some cats showing a strong preference for it over other brands.
Super
We are really happy with the litter; it hardly smells, depending on the food of the indoor cats, and it clumps very well, making it super easy to clean.

Good, but not suitable for multi-cat households
The litter smells good and clumps well. It doesn’t produce more or less dust than other types of litter.
I have a total of 5 cats and three litter boxes, one of which was completely filled with Biokat’s Diamond Care Fresh. Unfortunately, the litter isn’t very economical. Over time, it becomes too expensive. Such a shame.

It could be the perfect litter
My first impression of the new litter: almost perfect!
Fine light grey granules, finally a subtle powdery scent, and perfect clumping. The only tolerable downside here: the clumps are so firm that cleaning the litter box becomes a bit of a chore.
Even after two weeks, the scent in the litter box is still impressive. Both humans and pets love it!
However, the human is less thrilled about the fact that the somewhat lightweight granules can be found all over the flat and are dragged out of the litter box in unacceptable quantities. Daily vacuuming of the parquet floor becomes a must.
What’s even less pleasing to the human is that the scattered litter sometimes smears. If even the slightest traces of moisture from the litter box stick to it, it leaves unsightly streaks that are certainly not good for the parquet.
So, an early exit for what is otherwise an excellent litter. This flaw makes the product an absolute bad buy for me.
A real shame, say both human and pet!

A real alternative to Golden Greys
After the quality of Golden Grey deteriorated significantly, I was forced to start looking for an alternative. Based on recommendations, I discovered Biokat's Diamond Care. For me, it's a genuine alternative! I can't confirm that it produces a lot of dust. The scent is not too strong and quite pleasant, but for those who prefer otherwise, there's also a fragrance-free version. Since using this litter, I haven't noticed any unpleasant odours from the cat toilet, even if it goes uncleaned for a day—and that's with three cats. It clumps quite well too, although, as others have mentioned, not when the clump is very fresh. Nevertheless, I'm very impressed. I sincerely hope the company doesn't start tinkering with the formula!

THE alternative to Golden Grey Master
FINALLY! After years of being more than satisfied with Golden Grey Master cat litter, this product somehow became less recommendable from summer onwards: the flat reeked of the litter tray, and the consistency of the litter was completely different from before (I didn’t care much about that – the most important thing was the smell). So, I had to switch to a different litter, searched for ages, and I’m really happy with this product: ABSOLUTELY no cat smell anymore! It’s a bit dustier than Golden Grey, but since I use litter trays with lids, you don’t notice it at all. It really lasts for weeks, and I’m SO relieved!

Never again
The litter binds very well and doesn’t smell if cleaned out regularly! But... and this is the reason why I will never buy it again. It is by no means low-dust. On the contrary, it’s terribly dusty! Every single day, all surfaces in the room, and I mean *all* surfaces, are covered in dust again. After a while, the dust even ends up inside the cupboards.
I won’t be using the second bag I still have.

After my two Maine Coon girls and I have tested the litter for a month, I feel ready to share my experiences. The litter is made of natural clay and has a fine grain. Whether cats need Aloe Vera is debatable. However, the activated charcoal seems to deliver on its promise. Four weeks have passed, and the litter box still smells as fresh as it did after a thorough cleaning. I’m impressed! The dust development, however, leaves much to be desired. When pouring it in, I was completely enveloped in a cloud of dust, and when removing clumps and sifting, dust is also generated. Fortunately, my cats don’t sneeze when burying, which is the most important thing to me.
Now onto clump formation: Once the clumps are formed, they can be removed easily and don’t fall apart at all. But it takes quite a while to get there. The litter needs a good 5-6 hours to bind properly. If you remove the clumps too early, they disintegrate and stick firmly to the scoop. You also need to fill it to a height of about 7cm to prevent it from sticking to the bottom. With other litters, it’s usually 5cm, but I can live with that. For two cats and an XXL litter box, 2x12l doesn’t quite last a month.
A big positive is that despite tufts of fur between their paws, very little litter gets spread around the house. Here and there you might find a grain or two, but that’s not a problem for me. After all, you have cats, and that’s just part of it ;) Lastly, a quick note on the baby powder scent: it’s subtle but takes some getting used to for both me and the furry ones. At first, they were constantly sniffing and scratching, even when they had nothing to bury—just for the sake of it. I also believe that neither humans nor animals really need this. That’s why I’ll be buying the unscented version next time.
Conclusion: a good litter with minor drawbacks, which I can definitely recommend and will buy again :)

TOP
I’ve only recently become the servant of my cat, but I’ve already tried out several types of litter. At first, I let Stiftung Warentest guide me, which was definitely a mistake. This litter is simply fantastic. Even with the addition of "baby powder," it doesn’t have that overpowering smell like the other Biocat’s litters. After two weeks, there’s absolutely no odour. It clumps brilliantly, and even the solid waste seems dehydrated, which helps prevent smells. I can easily leave the litter box untouched for THREE days without smelling anything, and my cat doesn’t complain either, which used to be the case. On the contrary, he seems so thrilled with the litter that he jumps in just for fun and digs around.
It seems to be quite economical. I only needed to fill about a third of the pack, and now over two weeks have passed without needing to replace or even top it up.

I am 100% convinced of it 👍
I’ve been a proud cat mum for 10 years now, and I think this litter is the best I’ve ever used. After about 2 months of use, their paws have genuinely become noticeably softer.
The litter is incredibly long-lasting and clumps really well. For this fantastic price, it’s an absolute "must-have" for all pet parents who want only the best for their furry friends.

The ultimate solution!!
I've honestly never had such an efficient litter before – the testing phase is over! One bag lasts me over 4 weeks with two cats and daily cleaning. And the odour control is simply fantastic. For me, this is the best litter on the market, and I've truly tried just about everything!

I’ve finally arrived.
I've been using this litter for 3 weeks now. What can I say? I'm thrilled: I need 2 bags for my 3 indoor cats per month. Compared to other litters, there's no difference—just cheaper ;) So far, I haven't had to completely change the litter; I've only topped it up. It does create a bit of dust, but I don't find it *that* bad since both of my litter boxes (one jumbo and one regular) are closed. The scent is very pleasant, even after the cats have used the toilet, and unlike other litters, I rarely notice when someone has done their business. When I come home from work, I'm no longer greeted by a musty smell :D It clumps really well, although (as with most other litters) it does stick when it's still wet. But since there's no odour, it's not a problem—you just wait a bit :)

Initially sceptical, now completely thrilled
We used to always buy a different, supposedly high-quality litter for our two indoor cats. Unfortunately, the formula was changed for the worse instead of improved, and I was constantly annoyed by it. Then I came across this litter and, to be honest, I was quite sceptical at first since we had tried so many others. But I can only recommend it to everyone. Even after two weeks, it clumps just as well as it did on the first day. It smells very pleasant, and I think the dust development is still within reasonable limits. I really hope the formula stays the same so I don’t have to start looking for something new again.

Super cat litter, one of the best.
After Tigerino, which was otherwise really good, "improved" its formula, I was back on the hunt for a truly good cat litter, as we have 6 Coonies.
The litter really needs to hold up under pressure.
With this Diamond Fresh, I’m genuinely satisfied—it delivers on its promises and doesn’t smell even after a long time. Everything stays wonderfully fresh.

The best so far
My kitties are already 8 years old now, and over the years we've tried quite a few types of litter.
This one is by far the best. I'm not a fan of baby powder scent, but here it's quite subtle and disappears from the air quickly. Other than that, the odour control is truly impressive. My cats are noticeably happier, and so am I.
The only downside, if you can call it that, is that damp litter can sometimes stick to their furry paws and get carried a bit further than usual. But it's never much and not really bothersome. You just occasionally wonder when you find three tiny grains on the edge of the bathtub :o)

Definitely a must-buy! One of the best alongside Extreme Classic and Golden Grey!
Previously, we had Cat&Clean litter, but it started to stink quite badly after a short time (the smell spread throughout the entire flat, very unpleasant), despite daily cleaning of the litter box. Conclusion: Never again Cat&Clean!
After that, we switched to Extreme Classic litter, which, alongside Biokat's and Golden Grey, is one of the best litters on the market. It always smells pleasantly of baby powder and aloe vera.
Anyone who constantly complains about smelly litter should maybe stop pinching pennies wherever possible and invest a bit more money in cat litter (Catsan and all the supermarket brands are rubbish anyway!).
So, definitely a recommendation to buy, and if someone still complains about things like dust or the strong smell of the litter itself, then there's really no helping them!

The best I've ever had!
I’m very, very happy with it! The clumps are easy to remove. It smells really pleasant. The tomcat took to it brilliantly. This will be our go-to litter!

Good bedding
I've now tested quite a few types of litter, or rather, my three tomcats have :-)
I think it clumps really well, and odours are well contained. BUT it is by no means dust-free. On the contrary, as much as I’m impressed, I have to admit that it sometimes produces more dust (at least when pouring it in) than some others. That’s why I’m deducting one star.

Hallelujah! Finally, quality litter again.
Diamond Care does exactly what it’s supposed to: absorbs, controls odours, clumps nicely, and hardly produces any dust.
Golden Grey and Extreme Classic, on the other hand, have massively downgraded their formula and are completely unacceptable. Diamond Care, however, is absolutely satisfying – really great, thank you for that!

Very good cat litter
We have a Norwegian Forest Cat.
The best cat litter we've ever had.
Odour control & clumping = Grade A.
Long-lasting cat litter = absolutely.
Even after 2 weeks, still no odour.
Highly recommended without reservation.
This litter is worth every penny.

Well, I don't know...
I've tried a lot of things, but the stuff with aloe and all that feels more like a sales gimmick... Activated charcoal is fine, it does help with odour control, but the price and the product's longevity leave much to be desired... Not worth the money, wouldn't recommend buying!
