We got this one as we have got 3 cats one of them is a Maine coon and he fits through fine at first we thought they would never get used to it we taped it open so they could use to going through the hole that was fine we then shut it and they took about a week to figure it out it took alot of treats and praise now they use it all the time

The electronic cat flap is supposed to stop the cat from going out using two pins that pop up behind the door. In this case, only one pin was coming up and my cat quickly figured out that by scratching at the door on that side, he might be able to get out. So my advice: test the cat flap before you install it ;) That said, Zooplus customer service immediately sent me a brand new one, which I was able to test and install to replace the faulty one. Thanks!

The little door works well.. It almost completely lacks instructions for setting the opening and closing times.. It doesn't show whether the cat has gone through and whether it's inside or outside..

The flap is well made, and the closing mechanism is fairly quiet too. Installation was easy. But here's an important tip: The instructions assume it never rains or gets stormy. That's not the case here. Before fitting the outer panel, you should definitely seal all around the cut-out in the door with silicone, otherwise when it rains, water will get into the wide gap between the outer panel and the tunnel and soak through the door from the inside!
