This harness is lovely and light and the elasticated leash is a real bonus. Fits our 2 year old Maine Coon well, so I imagine for smaller cats it would be too big. However, however tight we put the harness on, if the cat manages to get the lead tight he can escape within a minute. If the leash is not tight he doesn't seem to be able escape.

The material is quite soft and nice. My cat doesn't mind wearing it at all. However, it's too big for him and he managed to snuggle his way out of it. As such, I would only recommend it for very large cats, not for medium-large cats.
