This collar lasted the cat a couple of months before he lost it. You have to adjust the collar strength to your cat's weight so if it gets caught they can get out. Our cat isn't the biggest so I didn't set to the strongest setting. So I would say the collar is good. But you have to set it up for your cat. Could have a better bell though.
