Trixie Can Cover

We have had both sizes for quite a while, which I bought with points. Well worth it. I just wish they did the 8.5cm diameter size too. Although, to help the environment, I would recommend reusing the plastic tops you get on some coffee, which fit standard 7.5cm cans ;)

Wish I'd read the reviews before spending my points on these. I got two sizes and both kinds crack almost immediately. Would be better made of silicon I think.

Got these as a free offer & they only lasted 8 weeks of minimum use.. Very poor quality & I'm glad that I haven't lost any money.

Used these for years and generally they last quite well. Eventually they do wear and split but considering they are a pack of 3 for less than a quid I just chuck it. I don’t bother dishwashing and probably go through them a pack per year.

I also found they split after a few days. Didn't seem to quite fit a 800g tin. Waste of plastic :-( I didn't put them in the dishwasher at all.

I got this with my zoo plus points but gutted they are too big for the tins I use 😑😔

I hoped these would fit the applaws or encore cans but they don't.

I've ordered these twice before - once in August 2014 and once in June 2017. The ones from 2017 are beginning to show signs that they need replacing, so I'd estimate that a pack of 2 x 10.5cm covers will last approximately 2-3 years with one in use at at a time. This represents excellent value for money but I've knocked one star off because I'd rather pay more for something which lasts longer and/or is biodegradable.

Made from a hard thin plastic, these split within a few weeks. The silicone versions are slightly better but neither come anywhere close to the BecoPets silicon can covers that used to be available from Zooplus. You’d be better of using a bit of silver foil.

I've had my lids (large size), for months. I wash them in the dishwasher. They haven't cracked or deteriorated at all. They fit big dog food tins perfectly. I tried the silicone lids and they're pointless - don't work at all.

I've order a few lots of these now and they all spilt after a few weeks. Material doesn't cope well with daily use.

These are poorly made out of weak plastic and not quite big enough so they quickly split when used. Waste of money

Like many others, I found these split very quickly (within a month). I used them for the Carny and Bozita cans, and at first was pleased with the tight fit. Always hand washed. The plastic seems more brittle than others I have had in the past. I am now back to storing my part used cans in the fridge in plastic bags.

I've had mine for a few years. Only now have they split slightly so I'm needing to get a new set. £0.99 for 3 covers every few years or so is a good deal.

These are great tin covers and do the job perfectly. This size is perfect for standard 400g tins and they are bright and colourful. Seem like they will last a long time. What more could you ask for for the price?!

I dont understand the bad reviews of these. They are what they are. Functional and work. Mine have not cracked. I handwash them and dont stick them in the dishwasher so maybe thats why?

I have only ever gotten these via the ZooPlus loyalty points scheme. They are great for free but they do split quickly. However even when they are split (the breaks are only slight usually) they are still functional, last a decent amount of time, and do the job they are meant to. I like that they are colourful as it means it is easy to pick out the cat food first thing in the morning when the kettle is still boiling and one's brain hasn't quite woken up yet! They are also easy to clean. You get what you pay for with these. They are cheap and cheerful.

Selfishly, I never take the time to review products, but reading the other reviews here compelled me to. To be perfectly blunt, some people need to get a life. Running to the PC minutes after something arrives to review it to the Nth degree. That would be fine, if at least they were accurate. These are perfectly well made. They fit well, apply easily, seal properly and has left our fridge free from the odours of open cans of cat food. We care for a 20 year old cat who insists on being fed small amounts every hour or two. As you can imagine, the lids come off and go back on A LOT. Not a single scratch, crack or change in them since they arrived and that was 2 months ago. Moreover, let's be realistic. They cost a pound. One pound for 3 lids that'll last you months, if not years. Seriously, why people feel the need to bash something that costs less than their morning coffee, lasts months on end, works well, is easy to use and cute to boot is beyond me. If you're on this page and have a requirement for these, do yourself a favour (and your fridge) and get them by all means.

It's been 6 weeks since I bought 3, and all 3 are broken... There you go..

I see a lot of negative comments about the lids breaking. Honestly, I don’t know how that’s possible – the lids seem fine to me, I’ve been using them for a few months now and haven’t noticed any faults.

I bought this product for quality nutrition, in several flavours, but my two cats often won't eat this tinned food, even when it's freshly opened. I've been trying for a long time. Even when I mix it with something else, they still won't eat it. In that case, they won't eat the other food either. If I cover the leftovers and offer it at the next feeding, they never touch it. They'd rather go all day without eating. I tried giving it to the stray cats that come into my garden, since my own don't want it, but even there, only one of them eats it, and they're strays. I don't know why, but they won't eat Purizon either, same story. I'm not sure it's the product's fault.

The idea is good. The quality is really bad. I ordered several and they all arrived broken (with a tear in them).

Very useful for sealing wet food jars in the fridge. They fit most 200/400g cat food containers.

I didn’t realise these come in different sizes. They didn’t fit as lids on any of the canned foods (applaws, cosma, almo nature). The silicone lid I bought elsewhere, which fits many sizes, has been much better.

Very useful, but they break very quickly: they crack.

Tore straight away the first time I used it.

The product does its job, but if the can is even slightly bent or you use a bit too much force by accident, it cracks at the edges, which I'm really disappointed about.

So far, they're working very well and fit perfectly with the 400g cans.

I received the lids and on the very first use the rubber already broke because they're a couple of millimetres smaller than all the 400g tins. A few years ago I got them as a free gift with points and... same thing, broke straight away. I thought that after all this time they would have realised they weren't good and changed them. But NO.

The lids do fit, but they're hard to take off. It's especially tricky when there's liquid inside. Unfortunately, they don't last long. All three lids cracked from the edge to the middle after only a short time of use, so they're no longer usable.

Sustainable is something else—these lids barely last as long as the contents of the tin. I picked them out with my Zooplus points. The ones from a vegetarian organic bread spread have lasted through a second cat’s lifetime already, and they were free.

The lid is fine. I just worry that the little paw-shaped tab might break off.

After just two uses, I have to tape the lid together because it cracks. How is this the only lid option on zooplus?
