My cat likes to scoop his biscuits up so looked for a slow feeder - this one works really well for the kibble and puts a stop to that unlike other types. The only reason it isn't 5* is the coating on the bumps doesn't last very long, when it's only handwashed too. But definitely worth the price and my cat has no issues with the depth

Used for about a week and the ceramic has started to wear / chip. I’m not sure if it’s from my cats teeth hitting the ceramic or from smushing the food down into the bowl with a spoon.. either way it’s not great for it to start chipping already 😔

After trying several products for my very fast-eating cat, I just had to write this review because, in my opinion, this bowl is the best. It prevents the animal from pushing the food together, which significantly reduces gulping. A clear recommendation for greedy cats!

Feeding our two tomcats is akin to a predator feeding frenzy. Both are extremely greedy. Conclusion after 6 months: The bowl slows down their gobbling a bit, especially if, like us, you fill it with (warm) water as well. Points deducted for the coating, which chips off very quickly and ends up being eaten. After just a few meals, the "bumps" in the middle are already bare. Still, a recommendation – we've already reordered.

Bought this as my big male cat is on a diet and being a former stray he eats fast and gobbles food. I like the fact that this is china and not plastic (cats do not like to eat from plastic). It is a good size and the design means it is easy to clean. It has weight which means it does not slide on the floor. Making my cat eat much slower which is what it is designed to do. Excellent product.

Bought it because my cats eat too fast, but this bowl must be the worst for cats. These so called smooth, rounded nubs are way to high. My cats almost damaged their teeth. Not recommended

After a week of daily use, some paint has chipped off. I didn’t expect that. It’s never been inside a dishwasher. It definitely serves its purpose. I even feel like my cat eats even slower than with the other anti-gulping bowl.

I’m buying this bowl for the second time now. The first one has been in use for almost a year; I also have a second one made of plastic, but it’s time for it to retire because it’s hard to clean and the smell of cat food just won’t come out of the plastic anymore. The ceramic bowl can be put in the dishwasher without any worries, and my cat doesn’t gulp down her food as much anymore. All in all, I can wholeheartedly recommend this bowl!

The quality of the ceramic is unfortunately not satisfactory. The ceramic chips at the raised areas after a short time on 6 raised sections. However, the bowl is really well-suited for cats that gulp down their meals without chewing. My cat eats slowly and carefully and is content with less food.

One of our three tomcats is particularly greedy; he devours his food and then tries to see if he can get some from the other two. This bowl really helps, as it makes him eat more slowly! He accepted it straight away, and we now always use this bowl for him. Every morning, it goes straight into the dishwasher after the "tomcat breakfast." I can recommend this bowl!

I bought the slow feed bowl as my cat was gulping down dry food only to bring it up after 5-10 minutes. My pet took a couple of days to figure how to grab the kibbles. This bowl made such a difference and allows my cat to eat more slowly. Less throwing up. The bowl is sturdy and washes well.

This is the second bowl I've ordered; I've been using the first one for 3 months now and I'm very satisfied.

I was initially sceptical, as I had already tried several anti-gulp bowls (plastic, silicone) before, but this ceramic bowl has exceeded my expectations. It was quickly accepted, and our cat no longer gulps his food.

Works well, the cats tongues can get in between the nubs no issue, my cat is just an idiot and decided he didn't like eating with it because he kept hitting his teeth on the nubs because he was still eating too fast. Good otherwise! Easy cleaning even with hand washing.

This bowl is excellent for wet food. It protects the whiskers, doesn’t frustrate our cat too much – yet still serves its purpose. It’s also easy to clean. Out of several bowls we’ve tested, this one is the best.

My Minto gobbles everything down greedily and even goes to the other bowl afterwards to empty it. Then, when everything came back up from the scratching post in a big arc over the weekend, I ordered this bowl, and lo and behold – you can eat slowly and don’t have to take over the other bowl as well. I’m very happy!

Our somewhat pampered cat Kasimir doesn’t have any teeth anymore and is afraid the ladies will eat his food, which is unfounded since they don’t dare go near his bowl anyway. So he used to wolf down his food like Garfield in his prime. With this bowl, he can’t do that as quickly anymore. Cleaning it in the dishwasher works brilliantly too.

I was actually always satisfied with the product until now, but suddenly the porcelain is chipping off—I’ve had this happen with the last five pieces. That was also the last time I ordered a bowl like this.

It doesn't work as advertised. The cat food kibbles aren't big enough for eating from this to make my cat eat any slower than from a regular bowl. And I've tried with quite a few different types of kibble. The only decent thing is the material, although I can't really say how durable it is since my cat has only used it a few times, precisely because it doesn't do what it's supposed to.

I think it's more suitable for dogs, though. The material is really good quality, but my cat keeps hitting his teeth on it. I need a slow feeder because he's greedy and then throws up, but I think I'll look for a silicone version instead.

I don’t recommend it at all, after just a week of use the paint layer started peeling off...

My dog is a real glutton when it comes to eating and she eats super fast, then after a little while she throws it all up. I've been using this feeder for two weeks now and it's brilliant – in these two weeks she hasn't thrown up even once, and it's because this feeder makes her eat more slowly. It really works.

Our little mouse was hardly eating at all due to illness, and now that she's feeling better, she doesn't just eat—she wolfs down everything that comes near her nose. Because of that, she's often ended up being sick. And her sister didn't get much of her own food either. We've already tried a few different bowls, but none of them managed to stop her from gobbling. With this bowl, she finally eats a bit more slowly and the food actually stays down!

Unfortunately, the tips broke during the first wash cycle.

Since my tomcat unfortunately started chewing on the silicone slow feeder bowls, I had to look for something else. This bowl is good. It's made of ceramic, my cat doesn't chew on it, but he finishes his food faster than with other lick mats. Still, with this bowl I can manage that he doesn't eat everything away from his sister or eat too quickly.^^

It really solves the problem of gobbling. My cat is calmer and doesn’t throw up the food as often as before.

Super angry, I noticed my cat’s fang was a bit worn down and five days after buying the feeder, I looked closely while putting in the food and saw that all the tips of the little white balls were broken. So it broke in less than a week, and even worse, it damaged one of my cat’s fangs. I wish I’d never bought it, it’s a disgrace…

For the price, the feeders are fine. As for whether they help reduce anxiety at mealtime, they haven’t worked for my cats. I bought them in October 2025, it’s now April 2026 and they’re still eating the same way. My review isn’t about that, though, but because the tips of the raised parts have chipped—I had to throw one away because I was worried my cat might eat a piece of ceramic, and the other one is on its way out too. It’s a shame because I really liked them 😪

Looks great, just like in the pictures. I was happy to have found something like this in ceramic. Unfortunately, I have to agree with the others here. After a short period of use (2 months), the coating is peeling off at the edges. For this reason, I wouldn’t buy it again.
