Works well for dry food
My cat likes to scoop his biscuits up so looked for a slow feeder - this one works really well for the kibble and puts a stop to that unlike other types.
The only reason it isn't 5* is the coating on the bumps doesn't last very long, when it's only handwashed too.
But definitely worth the price and my cat has no issues with the depth

Not durable enough
Used for about a week and the ceramic has started to wear / chip. I’m not sure if it’s from my cats teeth hitting the ceramic or from smushing the food down into the bowl with a spoon.. either way it’s not great for it to start chipping already 😔

Excellent bowl
Bought this as my big male cat is on a diet and being a former stray he eats fast and gobbles food. I like the fact that this is china and not plastic (cats do not like to eat from plastic). It is a good size and the design means it is easy to clean. It has weight which means it does not slide on the floor. Making my cat eat much slower which is what it is designed to do. Excellent product.
Almost damaged the teeths of my cats
Bought it because my cats eat too fast, but this bowl must be the worst for cats. These so called smooth, rounded nubs are way to high. My cats almost damaged their teeth. Not recommended

My cat doesn't bring up food anymore
I bought the slow feed bowl as my cat was gulping down dry food only to bring it up after 5-10 minutes. My pet took a couple of days to figure how to grab the kibbles. This bowl made such a difference and allows my cat to eat more slowly. Less throwing up. The bowl is sturdy and washes well.
Would recommend for slightly smarter cats than mine
Works well, the cats tongues can get in between the nubs no issue, my cat is just an idiot and decided he didn't like eating with it because he kept hitting his teeth on the nubs because he was still eating too fast. Good otherwise! Easy cleaning even with hand washing.

Poor quality

The coating always gets damaged
I was actually really happy to finally find an anti-gulping bowl for my tomcat that’s relatively whisker-friendly. Unfortunately, I have to change my initial review. The coating is pretty sensitive. I had four of them, and as soon as you put something else on top, the coating comes off. Or after a short time in the dishwasher, it starts peeling too. Doesn't do its job
It doesn't work as advertised. The cat food kibbles aren't big enough for eating from this to make my cat eat any slower than from a regular bowl. And I've tried with quite a few different types of kibble. The only decent thing is the material, although I can't really say how durable it is since my cat has only used it a few times, precisely because it doesn't do what it's supposed to.

More suitable for puppies

Slow feeder
My dog is a real glutton when it comes to eating and she eats super fast, then after a little while she throws it all up.

It hasn't lasted long
For the price, the feeders are fine. As for whether they help reduce anxiety at mealtime, they haven’t worked for my cats.
