Smilla Tender Poultry Saver Pack 24 x 400g

Have purchased this a few times over the last 2 years. All 3 of my cats would rather leave the food in the bowl than eat it. They generally love the beef variant and will eat other poultry based foods, but absolutely despise whatever is in this formula. Given the similar reviews here i wouldnt recommend rolling the dice on this food.

Older sterilized outdoor cat used to love this but last few batches have had a really 'off' smell and she isn't keen at all. I've always been suspicious that the meat percentage is not listed, as it is with other good brands.

Our cats usually love this food but we’ve had a batch that they just won’t touch. The lids look popped.

My 3 Bengals have never eaten so well as with this food and the 400g tins are a perfect size for their evening meal. Can't speak too highly of it. It all goes...fast! They have previously been so fussy! In addition, it smells really good! Very unusual for cat food.

I have been searching for a good quality food for what seems like a lifetime as I am very conscious what I feed my 4 ragdolls, after trying the most expensive and most recommended, they wasn’t interested. However, they absolutely love smilla and are thriving off this food. It is perfect for them! I would highly recommend this to anybody that’s been searching high and low for a good cat food that doesn’t cost the earth. Check out their biscuits too they do a great range.

We've only tried the chicken and lamb so far and my three fussy cats loved it. So much so I've come here straight away to write the review. They lick the gravy or jelly of every food in a sachet or tin, in fact I started putting cat food into a smoothie maker for them so there were no lumps. They loved the texture of this food though, just plunged their faces in the bowls and ate it all. I just hope they still like it for a while as I got 24 cans!

Our diabetic cat has been on this for a year and it really helped him to lose weight as we could scrape the fat off as it solidified at the bottom of the tin. but now it seems like they are mixing it once cooled so there are small globules of fat throughout the tin which takes ages to dig out. We will sadly be changing foods.

I have two cats who both love the poultry pot in beef, duck and poultry hearts varieties. Unfortunately the fish and lamb didn't go down too well so I stopped buying the mixed packs. Smilla is slightly wetter than other high quality cat foods, which is good for my two and they enjoy it. I like knowing that I'm not feeding them unnecessary grains, sugars and additives. The litter trays have been MUCH less smelly since moving to smilla from supermarket meat.

I am so glad I revisited, the previous recipe none of my five would touch, however, I purchased the 800g tester tins & they loved all but one - fish being a real favourite. Back to stock up. Much prefer pate food as, the cats don't get the opportunity to only eat the jelly!

I've bought Smilla from you for years now, but last order the varieties have changed. I ordered just thinking that the lables are now in English, but the varieties and the recipes are different and it's not gone down well with my cats. I used to buy the 400g saver packs in Salmon, Beef and Chicken as these were the flavours my cats like. The variety of options is gone, and the consistency of the new tins is like a pate.

I bought this as a trial, which has gone down so well with my feline family I am back to buy more! No waste, nothing nasty in the food - it all gets eaten and quite quickly!

I've been buying this for a few months now. One of my cats is intolerant to grains, so this is a good budget friendly alternative. They both seem to like it. Their coats are lovely and shiney and I'm feeding less of the calorific dry food.

I have two cats, one who prefers wet food and another who prefers dry, so finding food they will both eat is tricky. Having tried the mixed pack, I found they'll only touch the tender fish and poultry - Tuna and Chicken (not to be confused with the tender poultry and fish, which is more like a paté). There are visible chunks of real meat and it smells good. I see the quality in my cats' fur and eyes. I also feed them Almo Nature Holistic Chicken & Rice dry food in the morning.

My cats have always loved Smilla; so I thought I'd try them with the tuna flavours. They won't touch it !! They'd rather starve - whereas they wolf down the chicken, lamb, beef etc;

I bought a large quantity of this after a friend gave me a few tins for my cats to try, they seemed to like it so, as I have six cats I ordered a load. They wouldn't touch it! I donated the whole lot to the local RSPCA centre who were very grateful, they said if the cats didn't eat it the dogs would. Lesson learned, never trust a cat!

I don't recommend it, my cats don't want to eat this food, and even after a small amount they start vomiting.

If only the package had arrived, I could even give you a review, but for now I've just paid and have been waiting for more than two weeks.

When I ordered this food for the first time years ago, my cats really liked it and the meat content was still high and clearly stated. Nowadays, there’s no information at all about what’s actually in it, and judging by my cats’ reaction, the quality has definitely gone down because they don’t want to eat it anymore. I won’t be ordering this food again.

The cats don’t want to eat this. The trial can I got with points was tasty, so the ingredients must have been different. I definitely don’t recommend it.

My cats love it. I didn’t know the product and saw it on trial offer, so I thought, why not give it a go? My cats are delighted, there are five of them and, like all cats, they’re picky, but with Smilla, not one turns their nose up. Once the tin is opened, it keeps well in the fridge with a bit of tin foil. I recommend it—if you’re unsure, start with a trial or discovery pack. I already know I’ll have some in my basket for my next order.

The cat didn’t touch it at all, even when he was really hungry. I regret buying it, I don’t know what I’ll do with it now since it’s 12 cans. I gave him the old food he used to eat and he ate a third of the can in one go.

Smilla is going downhill – it used to be 40% meat in the meat (20%+20%), then 30% meat in the meat (20%+10%), and now... poultry with duck has a total of "20% poultry, of which 4% duck" (as written on the label, it's not a mistake!), so only 16% poultry + 4% duck. Plus, the cans are dented from inside the 6-pack, so you can't blame the courier for that. And the price per kg keeps going up. The only upside is that there isn’t yet such a layer of fat at the bottom (like the poultry with poultry hearts has) and my cat still likes the taste.

My cat really liked the Smilla poultry pâté, but the poultry and fish one: after the second can, she refuses to eat it, and unfortunately I bought a pack of 24 cans! Yet she’s not a fussy cat at all—up until now, she’s eaten everything I’ve given her. I’m really very disappointed and I’m going to have to throw away more than 24 cans of cat food! I’ll never buy the Smilla brand again.

The wet food has a really strong smell, and my cats won’t go near it, even when I mix it with another brand :/

All three of my cats really love it. They’re different ages, but they all purr while eating it.

They eat it very willingly, I recommend it.

Good product, even though my furry friends prefer the ones in the 200-gram tins. The ones for kittens are good.

Good product, especially the one for kittens. I don’t understand why the furry ones prefer the 200-gram packs and don’t like the 400-gram ones as much anymore.
