Animonda Carny has a mix of reviews. Some cats love the beef & turkey hearts variety, with owners appreciating its composition and price-performance ratio. However, others report issues with certain batches, noting a change in texture and smell, which leads to cats refusing to eat. While some cats enjoy it, others are picky or have lost interest over time. Despite mixed experiences, some cat owners find success with specific varieties and preparation methods.

Bad product / Not the right thing / Smelled off
Had this previously from other shop, and all was well, but what i got from zooplus was not nice. Smelled, cat was sick, left it for foxes - nothing was eaten. in the fridge, got slimy after few hours. Start reading a bt and it seem that there mogt beissue with some production place in Germany, so i think Animonda needs to look into this - won't buy any Animonda products at all.

My cat gives the food a wide berth.
No chance – unfortunately... I wanted to treat my cat to something nice and ordered this food because of its composition. To ME, it looks appetising and smells good.
But my cat sees it completely differently: she avoids it in a wide arc and doesn’t even sniff at it – she hasn’t tried a single bite. I’ve tried several times.
Such a shame, but there’s nothing to be done. I’ll be returning it tomorrow.

Inconsistent Batches
Bit of a lucky dip if you get a good batch or bad batch...
Good batch, meat is dense and the jelly (very small amount) has a dense jelly consistency. CATS LOVE IT!
But if you get a bad batch, the meat is not as dense, is lighter in colour and the jelly is liquidy and does not have a jelly connistancy. It's very soft and just looks "off". CATS WILL NOT TOUCH IT OR BE SICK
This explains mixed reviews with new buyers. Animonda refuse to admit this so people need to email them until they fix this!

Incompatible
Unfortunately, neither of my two cats accepted the food. My tomcat tried it briefly and vomited immediately afterwards.
The food then went to our farm cat, who lives outside, and even the poor thing wouldn’t touch it. So, we’re back to feeding them Leonardo and MAC’s food.

Smells like s**t
I was excited to get my cats a food that didn't have tons of extra ingredients in it, just what is needed. However, on opening the can (I tried several), the overwhelming smell of rotten putridness overlaid with garlic was gag inducing.
Sadly it was the same for the senior and kitten versions that I bought. Definitely won't be buying again.
Even the cats recoiled when offered the food and the feeders had to be cleaned before they would go near it again.

Unfortunately, it was a letdown.
Unfortunately, my tomcat didn’t tolerate this food at all. No matter how many times we tried, he ate it and shortly afterwards vomited it back up. Such a shame.

Not acceptable at all
Unfortunately, not usable as the cats bring everything back up.....
We'll continue ordering Animonda Integra as that stays down and gets cleaned up completely.
It was an attempt because of the senior cats.

What a shame
They don't like it. All three would rather starve than eat this. Strange, other varieties from Animonda are gladly eaten.
