Had this previously from other shop, and all was well, but what i got from zooplus was not nice. Smelled, cat was sick, left it for foxes - nothing was eaten. in the fridge, got slimy after few hours. Start reading a bt and it seem that there mogt beissue with some production place in Germany, so i think Animonda needs to look into this - won't buy any Animonda products at all.

Perhaps it was because it was beef but none of my four cats would eat this, one sniff and they would walk away. They do however enjoy the tall tins of the chicken one.

Bit of a lucky dip if you get a good batch or bad batch... Good batch, meat is dense and the jelly (very small amount) has a dense jelly consistency. CATS LOVE IT! But if you get a bad batch, the meat is not as dense, is lighter in colour and the jelly is liquidy and does not have a jelly connistancy. It's very soft and just looks "off". CATS WILL NOT TOUCH IT OR BE SICK This explains mixed reviews with new buyers. Animonda refuse to admit this so people need to email them until they fix this!

I was excited to get my cats a food that didn't have tons of extra ingredients in it, just what is needed. However, on opening the can (I tried several), the overwhelming smell of rotten putridness overlaid with garlic was gag inducing. Sadly it was the same for the senior and kitten versions that I bought. Definitely won't be buying again. Even the cats recoiled when offered the food and the feeders had to be cleaned before they would go near it again.

None of my 3 cats ate more than a mouthful or 2 before refusing it, tried them with a few difference flavours. Gave some cans to a friend to try for his cat who doesn’t seem to mind it

I have two cats that are getting on a bit and I like to give them food that is not only age appropriate but has the high protein content that they need. This food has all of this and the cats really love it. I thought I would have issues changing from their other food but they turn their noses up at that now, so I needn't have worried. The other bonus is there is no strong smell.

My cat is 20 years old and has kidney problems. This is one of very few wet foods which he will eat and appears to enjoy. So glad I found it , on this website as I have never seen it in a UK shop.

My ageing cat was getting fussy over her supermarket food, although it was a well named brand she was leaving some in her bowl at every feed. With the Carny Senior tinned food, she has been crying out for more (I was thinking of renaming her Oliver, but she's a girl),and cleaning her bowl out every time. I've tried several different brands from the supermarket, but this one beats the lot. A very 'catisfied' pet.

with 34% beef 30% chicken the meat content is superior to the usual 4% you get in most supermarket brands.

My cat is fussy, old, toothless and needs to put on a bit of weight. I've tried lots of different types of food but she adores this. It's soft enough for her mouth without being a pâté (which she hates), is about 90% meat instead of 90% moisture and her eyes, coat and energy are much better since she started eating it. The company has lots of different flavours so she doesn't get bored and while it seems more expensive than bigger known brands, one tin goes a lot further than most and is actually cheaper than other high meat content foods done by smaller companies.

I had begun to despair of successfully feeding my senior cat with bad teeth any wet food that she could or would finish, without painstakingly hand- feeding her; Then along came Animonda Carny! She really relishes this product and there is a lot In each can, so it goes a long way. You can keep it refrigerated, when it's open and get several small meals out of it, to supplement dried food for senior cats.

After reading that cats need a very high meat content in their diet and that most supermarket brands do not come anywhere near to a cat's nutritional requirements, I set out to find a good quality cat food. Unfortunately the best brands are very expensive, so I was very pleased to have found Animonda Carny, which has an acceptable meat and nutritional content at an acceptable price. My cat doesnt have many teeth left but she hates pate's. So it has been difficult to find a brand that she will accept. The Animonda Carny Senior contains very small chunks, so my cat can eat it and still have a bit of chunkiness. (And I don't have to mush chunky cat foods up anymore!)

My three never really liked Animonda much, but since my senior cat is the least fussy, I wanted to give this food a try. There aren’t that many grain- and sugar-free senior foods out there. She does try it, but takes ages to eat more and often leaves it half-finished. That’s not something I usually see with her. The food itself is probably good, it’s often praised. Just not in my case, apparently.

It seems like rough, low-quality food. I’ve had to throw away the tins except for a little bit, which is all they actually eat—and that’s only when they’re really hungry. I don’t think this is a good option for wet food; it’s as if, for older cats, the quality and texture of the food no longer matter. They do like the other variety of tins where you can see the real food, and they eat it eagerly. Even though it’s more expensive per kilo, it works out better because you don’t have to throw it away.

My cat used to eat Carny Adult wet food, but when he turned 8, we switched to Carny Senior. I've tried both varieties, but he won't eat it—he tries to dig around his food bowl and then walks away.

The new texture (fine paste) is no longer accepted. The old version was coarser and you could actually see the ingredients. It was always eaten well. The new texture / is not eaten. Such a shame.

Apart from finding some larger pieces of cartilage in the meat, my cat ate this cat food and still enjoys eating it. A note on even better processing of the meat would therefore be of great importance.

My cat always liked eating it. It used to look like corned beef and smelled like it too. Now it smells strongly of offal and has the texture of pâté. My cat protested loudly and only eats it reluctantly if I puree it and add a tuna topping. I had to look for a new food.

The cats love it, but I’ve noticed with the last batches I bought that the texture has changed from a firm pâté to something more like a mousse. My cats are delighted, but is this normal?
