Bad product / Not the right thing / Smelled off
Had this previously from other shop, and all was well, but what i got from zooplus was not nice. Smelled, cat was sick, left it for foxes - nothing was eaten. in the fridge, got slimy after few hours. Start reading a bt and it seem that there mogt beissue with some production place in Germany, so i think Animonda needs to look into this - won't buy any Animonda products at all.

My cats review
Perhaps it was because it was beef but none of my four cats would eat this, one sniff and they would walk away. They do however enjoy the tall tins of the chicken one.

easily digestible
One of the very few types of cat food with beef that is actually liked.

Tasty
Of my two cats (13 years old), only one eats it. The other is more of a dry food fan, which I’m trying to wean her off. So far, so good – I’ve tried plenty of good options already, but Carny can stay for the other one :)

Preferably warm
My 16-year-old senior cat loves it very much. I either warm it up slightly in the microwave or mix in some warm water, and that’s how she likes it best 💞

It's loved.
At the moment, this is a firm favourite with my tomcat. He's not a senior, but he prefers this flavour over all the others. It would be great if this variety were available in 400g tins as well.

My cat doesn't like it.
My 14-year-old cat unfortunately doesn’t like it at all.
This is already the third Carny order (different varieties each time) where my cat simply refuses to touch the food and leaves it untouched… until it starts to smell and I have to throw it away, and this happens with pretty much all the Carny varieties I’ve bought recently. A few years ago, it wasn’t like this.
Unfortunately, yet another bad purchase. So I won’t be buying Carny anymore. Such a shame.

My cat gives the food a wide berth.
No chance – unfortunately... I wanted to treat my cat to something nice and ordered this food because of its composition. To ME, it looks appetising and smells good.
But my cat sees it completely differently: she avoids it in a wide arc and doesn’t even sniff at it – she hasn’t tried a single bite. I’ve tried several times.
Such a shame, but there’s nothing to be done. I’ll be returning it tomorrow.

Complete feed
Our cat has found "his" food. Now he eats properly.

Good food for older cats
Our tomcat (16) has been eating the variety with beef & turkey hearts for about a month now. So far, he’s tolerated it very well (no vomiting, digestive issues, or other unwanted side effects 😅), and he still seems to enjoy it. He’s quite picky when it comes to food, but Carny is always gladly accepted.
We’re happy to buy it because it’s good for him, we’re satisfied with the ingredients, and we think the price-performance ratio is reasonable.

Inconsistent Batches
Bit of a lucky dip if you get a good batch or bad batch...
Good batch, meat is dense and the jelly (very small amount) has a dense jelly consistency. CATS LOVE IT!
But if you get a bad batch, the meat is not as dense, is lighter in colour and the jelly is liquidy and does not have a jelly connistancy. It's very soft and just looks "off". CATS WILL NOT TOUCH IT OR BE SICK
This explains mixed reviews with new buyers. Animonda refuse to admit this so people need to email them until they fix this!

Unfortunately, not so great.
It was a typical case of "think again" when I wanted to treat my tomcat to a bit of variety. He's used to Animonda vom Feinsten and just couldn't warm to this at all. - With great difficulty, we finally managed to get through the batch of tins, which I had unfortunately stocked up on in advance.

Very good senior food
On the advice of our vet, we switched our two cats (9 and 11 years old) to senior food. The composition of this food really convinced us.
The food was accepted straight away (I initially mixed it with the old food) and both of them really like it. No diarrhoea or anything like that.

Incompatible
Unfortunately, neither of my two cats accepted the food. My tomcat tried it briefly and vomited immediately afterwards.
The food then went to our farm cat, who lives outside, and even the poor thing wouldn’t touch it. So, we’re back to feeding them Leonardo and MAC’s food.

Smells like s**t
I was excited to get my cats a food that didn't have tons of extra ingredients in it, just what is needed. However, on opening the can (I tried several), the overwhelming smell of rotten putridness overlaid with garlic was gag inducing.
Sadly it was the same for the senior and kitten versions that I bought. Definitely won't be buying again.
Even the cats recoiled when offered the food and the feeders had to be cleaned before they would go near it again.

Unfortunately, I have a few complaints.
I give 5 stars for the food itself, but what I really don’t like is that there are only small tins and just two varieties.
200g tins are barely enough for breakfast for two cats.
I hope this changes soon.

3 cats who won’t touch it
None of my 3 cats ate more than a mouthful or 2 before refusing it, tried them with a few difference flavours.
Gave some cans to a friend to try for his cat who doesn’t seem to mind it

Happy Cats!
I have two cats that are getting on a bit and I like to give them food that is not only age appropriate but has the high protein content that they need. This food has all of this and the cats really love it. I thought I would have issues changing from their other food but they turn their noses up at that now, so I needn't have worried. The other bonus is there is no strong smell.
