Bird bath

I was sceptical about the size before I received it But once it’s put together it’s easy for my African greys to get insiders to bathe. It actually looks about the size of an old black and white portable 12inch tv screen I was pleasantly surprised and with just under two litres of water when full. The perch was a bit loose so I used a couple of nylon cable ties so it didn’t move when the birds stood on it

Splish Splash

Well received by the Rosellas, especially in hot summer weather. Easy to assemble and simple to clean. Brilliant piece of kit.

Doesn't fit everywhere

On our aviary, the bars are horizontal. How do you hang the bathhouse when the bars of the cage are not vertical but horizontal? The holder doesn’t fit between two bars. Otherwise, it’s a nice, large bathhouse.

Well...

The bath is big, just as I wanted... but you can't fill it properly, otherwise everything spills over... It's good to hang on the cage door. It fell down while I was mounting it and broke straight away...

Nice bathroom

The bath is pretty and also easy to assemble. In terms of installation, a square shape would have been better... as it is, I have open corners between the aviary and the basin.

Not suitable for small animals!

The description of the bathhouse states that it is also suitable as a sand house for chinchillas and degus. I have to strongly disagree with this because the entrance is so low that a) not enough sand can be filled in and b) the sand that is there ends up outside straight away due to the depth of the entrance when the chins bathe. Such a shame!

Great quality ...

For the price, excellent quality... so far, our parrots haven't started dismantling it, as is so often mentioned here... very sturdy and easy to assemble...

Superb bathhouse, even for rodents!!!!!

I bought the bathhouse for my seven rats. The youngsters absolutely love it and are having a great time bathing in it. Unfortunately, it doesn’t fit by the entrance door; the little rascals would make a run for it straight away. No matter, I’ll buy another one and treat the little guys to a sand bath as well.

What a shame...

The bathhouse is great, but unfortunately, my cockatiels only use it for drinking. They prefer to bathe in their little water bowl... ideally after I’ve added their vitamin drops to it first. I’ll order a new bathhouse here now, hoping they’ll use it to bathe this time... I’ve got some quirky cockatiels... haha

Not suitable for parrots

The bathing house is unfortunately not suitable for Amazons and African grey parrots; it gets completely chewed up in a very short time and is then no longer usable.

Splash Giant Bathhouse

This is now the third bird bath from this company, and in terms of size, it's ideal for my African grey parrots to bathe in. However, as other buyers have already pointed out, it unfortunately gets destroyed by the birds very quickly. If I have to buy a new bird bath every two weeks, it becomes an expensive affair. The cage hangers were broken after just two days, and now all the sides of the little house are being torn apart. Could the manufacturer perhaps consider making it impossible for the birds to destroy it?

Not all birds like it.

As it’s dark in the bathhouse, if the cover were transparent and clear, our cockatiels might use it more often. The size is really ideal for the birds, but hardly any of them bathe in it. This could, of course, also be because cockatiels prefer to shower instead.

Amazons!!!

I’m only giving 2 stars because the bathhouse lasted just one day in the cage, and my two parrots have already been busy gnawing at the holder! Unfortunately, the material is unsuitable for parrots that love to chew. The wooden perch can’t be attached properly either; it just ends up flying around the cage. My two haven’t accepted the bathhouse yet. Otherwise, the size is really GREAT, and attaching it to the cage is also BRILLIANT!

Very large bathtub, but

When I got the bathtub, I assembled it straight away. The bathtub is not suitable for cages with closely spaced bars. I had to bend the bars apart and hung it up as a test. You can only use the tub if the bars are further apart; otherwise, it’s just a hassle. The tub doesn’t fit in the cage because it’s really big—I’d have to completely dismantle the cage. I’d rather use the small tub instead.

Parrot Bathhouse

The bathhouse is very nice and spacious, and nothing gets in the way in the cage!!! The value for money is exceptional!!! The quality is outstanding!! It also fits very well in smaller cages.

Classy bathhouse

A great bathhouse for my cockatiels. Plenty of space. The bathhouse is bigger than it looks in the picture. You should have a large cage because the bathhouse needs a lot of room. Easy to assemble, well-made. Summer can come. Thank you, Zooplus.

Also good for rodents, but...

I treated myself to this little house as a birthday gift for my group of seven rats. However, not for bathing, but as an additional little house, like a balcony outside the cage. The rats love it, and ever since it’s been attached, there’s always at least one rat inside. Assembly was straightforward, and the size is truly impressive. The price is simply fantastic for what you get! However, there’s one issue: The bathing house doesn’t sit flush against the cage, and if my rats didn’t already have their own room where they can roam freely almost 24/7, they would definitely try to escape through these gaps. Another small drawback: I would have liked the lid to be a bit more transparent so you could observe the animals from the outside.

spacious bathhouse

I bought the bathing house for my African grey parrot "Gismo". At first, Gismo was suspicious since the bathing house was installed inside the cage. After three days, he started dismantling his "swimming pool" at the sides. However, he doesn’t eat the plastic. He splashes around with great enthusiasm. Now he has "arranged" the little house to his liking. That said, he’s also trying to unscrew the top screws. In short, he has plenty of "work" to do. Nevertheless, I would buy the bathing house again. It’s rare to find one this large. For cleaning, just pop it in the dishwasher, and that’s it. Monji and a happy Gismo 😊

very much in need of improvement

At first, it was the absolute highlight for our two African grey parrots. But after about a week, they started to gradually dismantle the thing. Not only were all the screws loosened, but the plastic supports that hold the metal bars on the roof were bitten off, and the bath suddenly ended up on the floor. Perhaps all the parts that ensure the stability of the bird bath should be made of metal or another indestructible material—then the bathhouse would bring a lot more joy.
