On our aviary, the bars are horizontal. How do you hang the bathhouse when the bars of the cage are not vertical but horizontal? The holder doesn’t fit between two bars. Otherwise, it’s a nice, large bathhouse.

The bath is pretty and also easy to assemble. In terms of installation, a square shape would have been better... as it is, I have open corners between the aviary and the basin.

I treated myself to this little house as a birthday gift for my group of seven rats. However, not for bathing, but as an additional little house, like a balcony outside the cage. The rats love it, and ever since it’s been attached, there’s always at least one rat inside. Assembly was straightforward, and the size is truly impressive. The price is simply fantastic for what you get! However, there’s one issue: The bathing house doesn’t sit flush against the cage, and if my rats didn’t already have their own room where they can roam freely almost 24/7, they would definitely try to escape through these gaps. Another small drawback: I would have liked the lid to be a bit more transparent so you could observe the animals from the outside.

I bought the bathing house for my African grey parrot "Gismo". At first, Gismo was suspicious since the bathing house was installed inside the cage. After three days, he started dismantling his "swimming pool" at the sides. However, he doesn’t eat the plastic. He splashes around with great enthusiasm. Now he has "arranged" the little house to his liking. That said, he’s also trying to unscrew the top screws. In short, he has plenty of "work" to do. Nevertheless, I would buy the bathing house again. It’s rare to find one this large. For cleaning, just pop it in the dishwasher, and that’s it. Monji and a happy Gismo 😊

Unfortunately, you can't properly secure the wooden strip at the front, but luckily my pink cockatoo hasn't managed to take it apart yet. Sadly, he finds the screws inside more interesting than actually bathing in there. The bathhouse is really spacious, so 4 stars :)

My grey parrot has NEVER seen such a fantastic, large bathing house in his entire life. He was used to being sprayed or would organise "foot baths" in his drinking bowl... Understandably, it takes time to trust this giant thing. He gets the greatest joy out of knocking down the loose perch, which isn’t ideal, but somehow the water has to be spilled out again. He also occasionally enjoys fiddling with the screws or nibbling on the plastic, but with a bit of distraction, he stops right away... When I’m not at home, I don’t leave the bathing house attached to the cage. After weeks, he recently splashed around in lovely warm water for the first time... What a delight. The daily effort of hanging it up was worth it. The price was fantastic; it’s significantly more expensive in specialist shops, but I first discovered it on "zooplus" and snapped it up. I haven’t regretted the purchase!

I bought this bird bath at the local specialist shop (and paid a lot more for it). So, the price here is great. The craftsmanship is excellent too – very sturdy. However, my cockatiel won’t use it... I suspect it’s because of the dark blue top. As soon as I remove it and only put the base out for him, he jumps right in. Maybe a suggestion for the manufacturer – make the roof out of clear plastic.
