Highly recommended

Our male dog has been eating this food for 4 months now. He loves it. We can even use it as a treat in between meals. We serve the food softened and always mixed with a bit of wet food. The recommended portion sizes are very generous. It's better to feed only 2/3 of the suggested/recommended amount (taking into account the treats he gets throughout the day). When softened, the volume triples. So far, he has maintained his weight perfectly.

Not bad, but no weight reduction for us

My neutered male dog does enjoy eating it, but unfortunately, this food doesn't serve its intended purpose of weight reduction in his case. With the recommended amount, he actually gains weight, and I'd have to drastically cut down the portion size for him to lose weight... I'll try a different food instead!

For 9 months now, my spayed Siberian Husky (almost 8 years old) has been eating this food! She likes it, and she maintains her "ideal weight." I used to feed her Hills before (it was discontinued).

First class product

Moved our Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier onto this after she was neutered and she had no problem with the switch from Royal Canin Medium. Has kept her small weight gain manageable (with lots of added exercise) and, as the breeder assured us, kept the dogs stools firm. Been using the Royal Canin range since puppy junior and wouldn’t use anything else, our dog just glows with health. Highly recommended

Excellent results

My two sheltie girls love this food and after the vet saying both had to lose 3kg, after three weeks there has been a nudge in the right direction to the weight coming down. Spaying made them gain weight despite the three mile daily walks I given them. My boy sheltie has a high metabolic rate so burns his fat off and can eat normal adult Royal Canin. Royal Canin is a top product.

Good but...

We bought this kibble for our neutered Spitz and in terms of size the kibble is quite good because he chews them, rather than swallowing them. He has a nice coat, and hasn't put on weight, but his stool is a bit runny. We'll finish the 12kg pack and see if the problem persists (if it does, we'llchange brand)

Accepted!

Just changed my dogs food from RC Medium Junior to RC Médium Adult sterilised: she really likes it, whereas she used to turn her nose up at the Junior. The kibble pieces are about three times as big as the Junior, but she's having no problems with eating it.

RC food and treats all in one

So, we’ve had the best results so far with RC Medium Adult Sterilised when it comes to weight reduction for our dog. She even accepts the food as a treat during walks, which wasn’t the case with other types of food. I can only recommend it!

Would have expected more...

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the previous comment. I also noticed weight gain in my neutered male dog, even though I strictly adhered to the recommended feeding amount. While the food is very well received, I am still a bit disappointed and will switch back to "Medium Light," which I have been very satisfied with for years!

RC Sterilised

Unfortunately, I’m a bit sad that my dog has been on RC Sterilised for 2 months now and has gained 1.5kg, so she’s going back to her RC Light food. Such a shame.
