Tasty

This wet food was very much to my little dog's liking, and he would have loved to have it for breakfast and dinner as well. But I only feed him wet food at lunchtime, as advised by his vet. So, he really likes the food, and it seems to fill him up well, although I think he always wants more. He had lost weight, down to 9.8kg, and that's why this food seemed ideal to me, in the hope that he won't gain weight again and stays at this weight.

is eaten

My dog has passed away, but I think he would have liked it. It looks appetising, and he really liked the brand, which is why I applied.

Good food

My Luna quite likes the Fitter (in moderation). The texture isn’t entirely her thing, but with a bit of dry food mixed in, it works really well.

Aid dog food

At first, our dog was very enthusiastic. It was a bit of an adjustment since it has a mousse-like consistency. After about 5 or 6 cans, he lost his appetite for it, and I had to trick him into eating it. Nowadays, he doesn’t want to eat it as often anymore, probably because he doesn’t like the taste. Every now and then, he still gets a can as a treat. I’d say it takes some getting used to, and I’ll keep trying to see if he accepts it.

Not well received

Our junior didn’t touch it at all for days. I also think it smells bad, and the texture… well, not great.

Well...

My dog unfortunately didn’t like the mushy texture at all, but mixed with his regular food, it was fine. I have to say the ingredients are very good, which definitely convinced me.

My dog went crazy for it

My dog loved this food. He tolerated it very well, and I think it doesn’t have that typical nasty dog food smell either. I’m definitely planning to buy it again.

My dog loves it

My dog loves it. As soon as the first tin was opened, our Bonnie was already eagerly waiting by her bowl. A quick sniff, and then it was almost gone. I can really only recommend this food.

Hill’s Science Plan Small & Mini Mousse

The food tasted good to my dog, but I find the texture takes some getting used to.

Unfortunately, not for us.

My dog could hardly wait. As soon as I opened a tin for him, he immediately started eating straight from it. It smelled delicious, and the texture was just how he likes it. But by the evening, he had terrible gas and diarrhoea. Unfortunately, it didn’t get better the next day, so we had to take a break for a while. After a week, we decided to give the food another chance. Sadly, his stools were very soft again this time, and he could barely hold it until we were outside.

Food for small dogs

I received the product for testing purposes. The cans were easy to open, and the smell was okay. The consistency was mushy/mousse-like, which didn’t seem to appeal to Fiffi. At first, I divided the food into larger chunks with a fork, which he took out of the bowl but didn’t eat. Then I tried again by mashing it into very small pieces, but even then, he wouldn’t eat it. Unfortunately, despite repeated attempts over several days, my dog simply didn’t want to eat it. I would have loved to treat him to food specifically tailored for small dogs in the future, but he just refuses to eat it. Therefore, I’m unable to give a proper review, unfortunately.

Good feed

Each tin contains 200g. This complete food is a mousse without chunks and is suitable for adult, small dog breeds aged 1-6 years. It is produced in Italy. I’ve taken a photo of the ingredients for you. It contains a powerful blend of antioxidants and the right combination of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates. The feeding recommendation for our dog, weighing just under 10kg, is 4 tins per day, which amounts to 800g. However, that seemed a bit much to me. I actually adjusted the feeding amount slightly, as we also supplement with dry food, and this worked well for us. Ultimately, though, the meat content is unfortunately very low, with only 8% chicken. Our previous food had a meat content of over 70%, so naturally, you feed less of that. That said, our little one really enjoyed eating this food, despite the lack of meat chunks.

Good product

The dog was really happy about the products, as you can see in the picture. Overall, it’s a good product, and I especially like the size. You can always open a fresh tin for the dog. Unfortunately, my dog doesn’t really like the food. He sniffed it briefly and tried it but didn’t want to eat it. Maybe it was due to the mousse-like texture, because the flavour is actually one he usually likes.

Hill's Science Plan Small

Hill's Pet Science Plan Small & Mini food is very much to my dog's liking. Thanks to the pleasant, soft mousse-like consistency, eating is much easier for him. With other brands, the fat or meat pieces are usually far too large. I also believe that Hill's food offers far more nutrients. My dog is now much more balanced, sociable, and playful than before. Naturally, his digestion has also improved significantly as a result. I'm thrilled to have found a dog food specifically for small breeds. Accordingly, we will continue to buy Hill's food regularly and, of course, recommend it to others.

Highly recommend

As part of a project with the Home Test Club, we had the opportunity to test the Science Plan Small & Mini Mousse dog food from Hills. We tried the chicken flavour. The texture is very soft, with absolutely no chunks. It doesn’t have a strong smell, which makes it ideal as a snack for a pet (give them a bit and store the leftovers in the fridge for later). This product is suitable for small dogs. Unfortunately, our pet wasn’t too keen on it, but we shared it with friends, and their dog ate it all with great pleasure. So, it really comes down to personal taste!

The food meets expectations.

The food smells good and has a very finely pureed consistency that is quite firm. Individual food components are not recognisable. My dog ate it, but he didn’t particularly like it. I don’t like that there’s no detailed description of the ingredients. The term "animal by-products" doesn’t satisfy me. I want to know exactly what my dog is eating and how much chicken is actually in the food (muscle meat, carcass, liver?). We won’t be buying this food again; the overall impression didn’t convince us.

Great product

The canned food has an optimal portion size for our four-legged friend. Our dog really liked the food and actually enjoyed eating it, but unfortunately, she got diarrhoea from it, so we had to stop the trial. The remaining cans were distributed to other dog owners, and we mostly received positive feedback. * Optimal portion size * No unpleasant smell like with most canned food products * And the four-legged friends love it

Good tolerance

My two dogs are fed twice a day. Once with complete dry food and once with dry food mixed with wet food. Over the past few weeks, they've been getting their second meal with the mousse, and it's been well received by both of them. Kiwi (the lighter-coloured dog) is particularly picky and accepted it right from the start. Sunny (the darker-coloured dog) initially had some issues with bowel movements, but this sorted itself out naturally. We have nothing negative to report at this point.

Man good, dog bad

The quality looked and felt very high-end. It also had a very pleasant smell. Unfortunately, my dog didn’t even give it a second glance. He tried it briefly once but then looked at it with disgust and begged for other food. I know this doesn’t say anything about the product or its quality—my dog just seems to have an aversion to it, unfortunately.

It arrived safely.

The food went down really well with our dog. I love how it's portioned, and the consistency is great too. There were no issues with the transition and absolutely no digestive problems or anything like that.
