The best

My mini schnauzer is 11 years old and this has been the best food for her, for her hear and tummy.

Excellent

My chihuahua had very dry and itchy skin. He was a rescue and a very fussy eater. He was on Tails which he liked but his skin was getting worse and he smelt musty. He loves this food, I miss it with a little of the loaf. His skin is 100% better and its also a fraction of the price of Tails so I am very happy

Absolutely not recommended

The first food that gave my dog the worst diarrhoea – definitely not necessary.

Very good, well-balanced feed

Our little Fritz has a sensitive stomach, and his light-coloured fur and skin are also delicate. So I decided to try this food. He liked it, and I got the impression that his fur and skin became stronger. So everything I had hoped for came true. Unfortunately, it’s very expensive, but if similar issues arise again, I would buy it or recommend it without hesitation.

Excellent product

My JRT X SHIH TSU suffered from a patch of dry/flaky skin on her back. I tried various remedies and very expensive shampoos to try and cure the ailment. I changed her diet from normal Royal Canin to the dermacomfort variety and she's not been bothered with any dry skin patches since. I would highly recommend this for any dogs with skin problems.

No more itches. Very good

I have two Yorkshire Terriers. They were always scratching themselves but ever since they started eating this food they have been getting better and better. And, they love the taste.

EXCELLENT

MIMIE, OUR 7 YEAR OLD DOG, USED TO HAVE HORRIBLE SKIN PROBLEMS, SO BAD THAT SHE WAS BLEEDING AND LOSING ALL HER HAIR. THIS HAS HELPED HER IMMENSELY AND SHE LOVES THE FOOD.

Absolutely amazing!

Very happy with the product! Ruby had mild allergic reaction on some food products and was loosing a lot hair on her tummy, neck and legs (although it never bothered her and skin was not irritated at all), I bought bag of this dry food by accident because it was on offer. Ruby loves it and her hair grew back within 4 weeks. We tried 9 different brands before and always had problem with her not liking it, but this one is a win win for everybody. So, I just ordered a big bad))

Cereals Wheat & Rice are main ingredients

This is £4.50/kilo for Rice, Wheat and Sugar Beet Pulp all of which are very cheap ingredients. For a dog with itchy skin most experts and manufactuers would reccomend removing wheat and possibly all other grain from the diet. This food does the opposite. Good profit for Mars with superb packaging and marketing but not a good dog food.

Good for itchy skin

I have a mini Pincher who was always scratching himself and had inflamed skin, but thanks to this food his redness as well as the itching have gone down massively.

The food causes bloating.

I fed this food for 3 years, and our Jacky kept having flatulence and didn’t really enjoy eating it either. Then we switched to Rinti wet food, and ever since he’s been having it, everything’s fine. Great digestion – no sign of flatulence anymore. And the icing on the cake is that he can’t get enough of this wet food. He absolutely loves eating it.

For hyperactive dogs!

Even for cerebral allergies, a great option – the dog becomes noticeably calmer and more focused within just a week of exclusive feeding!

was helpful

Our two Miniature Pinschers always had skin problems—not dramatic, but enough that we had to visit the vet. Before, I fed them good-quality meat, minerals, vitamins, and things like potatoes or rice, but their coat still wasn’t great. But just 4 days after starting this food, you could already see how they suddenly started to shine—really amazing. Let’s see if it lasts...

Bought as a temporary solution

I bought a small bag of this food as a temporary solution until my usual food (fresh meat and occasionally Platinum) gets delivered. Honestly, I don’t really like this food just based on its composition and ingredients, but our rather picky dogs love it, as I already knew from a sample. And before I end up having to throw away or give away another bag of food because they don’t like it... So, my conclusion: In terms of composition, it’s not really ideal, but in terms of the dogs’ acceptance, it’s very good. Whether it actually helps with skin problems, I can’t say after just a few days, especially since my dogs don’t have any issues apart from occasional dandruff (which is due to seasonal coat changes). For real skin problems, I would approach it differently anyway and reconsider their entire diet.

A fantastic feed

We’ve been feeding this food to our Jack Russell ever since he became fully grown. We’ve never had any issues with his coat; he has an absolutely beautiful coat. He eats the food without fuss, and his digestion is excellent. We would never switch.

Very well tolerated

My terrier mix loves it. She has an extremely sensitive stomach and digestive system, but she tolerates this food really well. I switched to this food not just because of her skin and coat, but also because she used to pounce on "horse droppings" like she was absolutely starving. I thought maybe she needed a bit more grain in her diet. And it seems I was right—the interest in "horse droppings" isn’t as dramatic anymore.

Very good food

We’ve been feeding Dermacomfort to our Jack Russell for 12 months now (he’s turning two years old), and I’m very satisfied with it. The skin and coat condition of my little one are excellent, and the food is very well tolerated. A great decision by RC is the introduction of the new 4 kg pack sizes. Our dog only weighs 6.5 kg, so the 10 kg bag was really too much, and the 1.5 kg bag was too little. With the 4 kg bags, RC has really hit the mark. Thank you for making this change. By the way, so far only Zooplus offers these new pack sizes. A big thank you to this shop as well for always staying up to date.

Both of my Yorkies have very severe skin and coat problems, including intense itching, crusting, etc. My female dog really likes the food, and her skin issues have already improved, meaning she scratches herself much less. Unfortunately, my male dog doesn’t like dry food, meaning he only eats a few bits now and then, so it’s impossible to say anything about its effect on his skin and coat. By the way, I’d like to agree with the opinion of the previous reviewer, Julia. You should only rate a food if your own dog actually eats it, because otherwise, you can’t say anything about positive or negative effects on skin, coat, etc. Just because your dog doesn’t touch a certain food doesn’t necessarily mean it’s bad. So please don’t let such reviews influence you.

Well received

Well, my dog loves eating it even though he’s very picky. Also, I don’t think it’s fair when some people here give the food a bad rating just because their own dog doesn’t eat it. That doesn’t say anything about the quality of the food, so maybe they should just skip leaving a review.
