As your dog ages, it needs a balanced diet which helps to keep bones and cartilage healthy, while helping to prevent or ease the symptoms of arthritis. Made with fish as the only source of animal protein and rice as a source of energy-rich carbohydrate, it is tasty, healthy and easy to digest. James Wellbeloved dry dog food is free from many of the ingredients which can cause food reactions. It is hypo-allergenic, made without soya, beef, pork, wheat gluten, or wheat and free from eggs, dairy products, and any artificial colours and preservatives.
This appetising kibble is suitable for dogs that suffer from allergies or skin problems or that have sensitive digestive systems. It is energy-rich and the size and shape of the kibble helps to encourage slower eating which reduces the risk of bloating. It is full of vital minerals and vitamins which elderly dogs need to stay healthy. If mixing James Wellbeloved dry and wet food, reduce the recommended amount of dry food by 25g for each 100g of wet food. Account for the calories coming from treats. Feeding amounts are intended as guidelines only. Adjust the amount of food according to the age, size and activity level of your dog. Introduce new food gradually when switching diets. Fresh water should always be available. Store in a cool dry place.

Great for senior picky eater
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] My dog loves it! He’s usually more of a chicken and duck fan but was actually really enjoying fish and he is a picky eater so he definitely liked it. Big plus with the zip lock on the bag because it keeps the food fresh. It of course smells like dog food but it doesn’t have very intense smell to it. It’s great value for money too.

Easy to store, 2kg size is ideal to trying out new food without buying a large bag. My dog really liked it, which is a bonus as she can be fussy with food!

Dog likes it!
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Very easy to get the correct serving size for my dog. The pieces are a perfect size as my dog dislikes large chunks. The dog ate this food very quickly, i can only assume its liked more then the usual dry food. Packagings easy to use and easy to reseal keeping it fresh. The pieces are easy to handle and dont leave a greasy residue like other brands.

He looks forward to meal times and eats all the food with none left behind! Noticed a difference in his coat too being softer to touch and starting to shine, great choice of recipe and ingredients, will definitely look into other flavours and wet and dry food of this brand for my senior dog

The fact this is for senior dogs is easily identifiable to avoid any confusion when buying. Despite being fish there is no over whelming smell which I am very pleased about. As this particular variety was fish based, it did have a very strong smell when I opened the packet, but that just added to my dogs enjoyment. It’s a hit!

Great packaging, it has a good seal and keeps it fresh, but the opening isn’t massive so trying to get a scoop in as the food gets further down the bag is a little bit more tricky. My dog really enjoyed the kibble, the smell and texture were pleasant for me to handle. I can’t comment on any health changes or benefits to coat or teeth just yet as haven’t used it for long enough.

He’s a fussy dog usually and will not just eat any dog biscuits so I was really happy seeing him divulge into the James well beloved senior dog food! Natural and nutritious for my old dog
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] My 9 year old Spitz recently had some health issues from eating chicken. This has caused itchy, patchy flare-ups on his skin. James Wellbeloved Fish and Rice flavoured kibble is perfect for him because it is hypoallergenic for dogs like him. Not only does it prevent his skin from being irritated but his stomach too. It is very nutritional to support his joints as he gets older. A bag is reasonably priced and good value too.

Good value for money

Superior quality senior food
My very fussy older dog absolutely loved this, some of the other senior food we tried him on he didn't like however this one he really seems to enjoy. It is also very gentle on his stomach and he seems happy with it. The protein content is also superior to some of the other brands which is a big plus!

Great for fussy Labrador
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] My eight year old Labrador is usually a very fussy eater, but with this food, the first time I gave it to her she picked up her bowl, took it over to the sofa, jumped up, hid in the corner to eat it and then finished the lot. She seems to love it. While it's too early (five days) to notice improvements to her coat having almost finishing the 2kg bag. I will pick up another to see if she continues to love it and the long term results.

Great option for my Labrador

I Really like the idea of having smaller biscuit - sized pieces, especially for my Labrador. The pieces are a good size for her to eat comfortably, and I like that they are easy to serve in her bowl. Not sure on his energy from it due to feeding him at night time but he loves the texture as it is like his old dog food and can keep it nicely stored fresh with the bag it comes in as it has a kind of zip bag at the top :)

Amazing my Rottweiler gulped it down! No grazing!
[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Wow this James well believed senior fish and rice dry food was a huge hit for my Rottweiler. He’s a little fussy with his food and he demolished it. First time in a longtime that he’s actually finished his meal in one go rather than grazing through the day. Huge hit in my household. Can’t wait to get more . The bag is medium size smell is actually not to bad for dog food! His skin appears to be a little better only used for around 1 week
