These stainless steel claw clippers are ideal for professionally claw trimming of small to medium-sized dogs.
Warning. Blood vessels and nerve endings run in the claws and must not be injured.
Make sure there is calm and pleasant atmosphere before you start to clip and let your dog sniff the claw clippers carefully. Cut the claw diagonally from top to bottom just above the end of the blood vessel. Reward your dog and continue to provide a relaxed environment. If you accidentally cut too much and catch the blood vessel, apply pressure to the area until the bleeding stops.
Always consult your vet first and ask for more detailed information on the correct use of this item. For safety reasons, use the safety limiter provided to reduce the risk of injury from cutting the claws too short.

Brilliant!
As other buyers have described, it is sturdily made and feels good in the hand. For cats and Collies up to 30kg, the nails are easy to trim. We are very satisfied with it.

Does what it's supposed to, but too unwieldy for me.
This pair of scissors/pliers is flawless and functional. Personally, I’ve previously used "finer" ones, and with this tool (which has rather wide "cutting edges"), I’ve become a bit unsure, especially with smaller cutting angles. A bit too coarse for my taste. I can’t manage fine work with it and also can’t clearly see where the cut will actually land. With the small slider, the size is a bit too large for trimming a dog’s claw (I have a large dog).

Easy to handle
Although my cat is rather sceptical about such measures, she let her claws be trimmed without any issues while wrapped in a towel. Everything went smoothly and delivered the desired result. No splitting of the claws.

They hold up really well and are very practical for cutting nails. Before, I had some small ones that are usually sold for cats. They’re nothing like these – the small ones slip away because the cat tends to wriggle around, that’s just how it is. With these, I feel much safer when cutting. Straightforward and reliable.

Splintered cat claws
The scissors fit nicely in the hand and are pleasantly small. I also like the locking function and the protection against cutting too short. Unfortunately, though, they crush and splinter my cats' claws when trimming them. Now I’m constantly having to remove fluff from the splintered claws.
