There is a diagonal entrance across each level, giving the appearance of a spiral staircase. Inside is the perfect cosy space for hiding, chilling and sleeping. Your cat can choose which den to hide in, with three on top of each other. Our Maine Coon kittens immediately claimed the scratching barrel as their own. It stays upright even when our little rascals go wild and literally pounce on it. The craftsmanship is good, with no odd wood splinters or sharp edges. Each lounging spot has its own plush blanket, and the top cushion is a big hit. Very poor quality.

With this scratching barrel, you only need to screw on the base plate and the top wooden plate, and you're done.
