Product description

Balanced dry cat food for adult cats, for the reduction of hairballs with exclusive anti-hairball complex, psyllium and micro-fibres to stimulate intestinal function, proven effectiveness.

A cat dedicates around 30% of its day to caring for its fur, removing dirt and any loose hairs. These can then collect in your cat's stomach, either being digested or forming hairballs that are then regurgitated. This vomiting places strain on the digestive system and can cause a loss of nutrients, so it is healthier for the hairballs to be naturally removed through your cat's stool.

Royal Canin Hairball Care supports the digestive tract with an exclusive fibre mix of psyllium, rich in mucus substances, and insoluble fibres. Feeding your cat exclusively on this food can offer results in as little as 14 days, with double the amount of hair being excreted with stool. Your cat will quickly feel healthier and happier, and can resume its cleaning habits as usual!

Royal Canin Hairball Care at a glance:
  • High-quality dry food for adult cats
  • Supports hair excretion: stimulates the digestive tract with the help of a special mix of fibres
  • Proven results: hairball reduction after two weeks (Royal Canin internal study)
  • Special, universal kibble shape:  the shape and size of this kibble has been developed to be ideal regardless of your cat's breed, size and weight
  • Combats hairballs: which can lead to vomiting and loss of nutrients
  • Special fibre mix: of psyllium and fibre to naturally stimulate the digestive tract
  • High protein content: for a good supply of energy and building blocks for the body
  • Adapted fat content: for a balanced level of nutrients
  • Balanced mineral content: to support the digestive tract

Birman cat
I have kept Birmans for many years and Would not consider feeding anything other than Royal Canin Hairball control cat biscuits. They truely prevent fur balls

Excellent food
My cat Lola has been on this food for a few years now. She is nine and looks really healthy and her teeth are so strong and white . Would definitely recommend this food.

makes life so much easier and tastier
my Ragdoll really chows down on this, the litter tray is "invisible", especially compared to other cat foods we have tried. He doesn't get furballs on this like with other foods and malts less. that means it good for him and good for my chores : D

Never any left in the bowl!

Useless
Ever since my cat ate this, we have hairball problem. Before that she vomitied a few times a year, now every two weeks.

Recipe changed
Really annoying as just purchased 10kg of this hairball care and it has a nasty fishy smell unlike the previous 10kg ( still had a small amount left from previous bag so was able to compare) the cats are not touching the new kibble. Not right to change ingredients without letting the customer know.

No more hairballs
Put Patches on this dry food and since then not one time has he been sick with hairballs. He loves it and eats with no problems. However the little monkey is still picky where wet cat food is concerned.

Bang on!
Both cats have no problems eating this food and do eat it frequently. In terms of hairball reduction it has definately made a big difference. Reduce hairball to once or twice a year from every other month.

Definitely made a positive difference
My cat was regularly choking up hairballs after eating but since we’ve swapped her dry food to this the problem has reduced dramatically and you can see the hair in her poop. She rarely regurgitates her food now and gobbles this down so clearly likes the taste, really pleased and relieved.

hairball
I have given one of my cats with incessant hairballs this food. When he has had this it has made the situation worse. He has been having more hairballs than before ie 3-4 times a week. No way would I give him this again

Capri my ragdoll prefers this dry cat food along with half sachet of wet food every day and haven't had any trouble with hairballs!!

Useless
My cats have been on the Royal Canin long hair indoor biscuits for a long time and it was extremely rare that they coughed up hairballs. I decided to change to this one as it claims to be twice as effective. What a load of rubbish, both cats now bring up hairballs every few days. Absolute waste of money.

Not bad
I bought this product as I have 5 nfcs and 1 ragdoll all have furballs especially the nfcs. Although it worked in the beginning, I am still getting furballs periodically and they are not overboard about the taste

No Hairball
Switched big puss to this hairball diet during the summer. Within a couple of weeks, he stopped throwing up hairballs and has not done any since. He seems to like the taste too.

Excellent product really works
Since we put our 4 mature cats on this we have had no hair balls. We mix 50/50 with another biscuit which is good for our breed of cats. When occasionally we ran out they started vomiting hairballs again so we do feel it works.

4” Hairball Surgically Removed
Feeding this food for the last 6 months. Waiting to see if my Maine Coon will survive his most recent hairball. Hair balls seem as common as ever but this weekend he’s had emergency surgery to remove a 4” hair ball from his small intestine ..... vet said it was dry and practically glued to the intestine wall. Don’t blame the food necessarily..... but has it done what it said in the description..... nope!

Good dry food.
Recommended by the breeder of our two Bengal cats. We only feed our two cats this dry food and it works well.

It works
After trying a more expensive product I found this as most of my gang are fed the indoor food. I've been slowly switching the two affected and it looks like its working ,
